I don't like the way the General Chat forum is run, its a general chat forum, you can put anything on it

No, General Chat is not for everything. General Chat is for topics that don't fit in any of the other forum categories, and it still has to have a point and be tasteful. These forums don't have a spam forum for that reason.

Almost anything is allowed, compared to other forums. But there's a limit to the amount of stupidity most people here can tolerate.

Spam forums are where you can put anything in. General Chat is <i>not</i> a spam forum.

"General Chat" is a forum for people to be able to chat about things together. It is for discussion. Your threads were directed at one person it seems, they didn't ask for discussion, hence why they were closed. After all, what would other members have been able to post in them?

Basically if you want to chat to one person you can use PMs, if you want to discuss something and get other's views, that's what General Chat is for. Pointless posts just clutter it up, and ruin it for other members.

I agree that we should be able to post anything in general chat. I am sorry but not everyone goes to the ****ing FF mystic quest forums(if it existed). Say I just want to do a poll on who likes what FF the most. Not that many people go to general FF. This is a FF web board so I want to get as many opinions as possible.
