Help! My enter key doesn't work. Neither the keypad or mainboard one. What is wrong? WAAAAA!

Are you using Windows? Reboot. If enter still doesn't work after reboot, be sure to try it in many different programs if you haven't already. If it doesn't work i nany, try rebooting with a different keyboard plugged in, if you have one.

Okay, I'll try that, but I won't turn off my PC until right before I go to sleep; I would have rebooted, as that's the natural thing to do, but meh...I have too many programs already open, and I'm not in the mood to shut them all down.

It's only a natural thing to do if you use Windows. Oh how I hates it.

You can swap a keyboard without rebooting.

If your keyboard locks up again just go out and buy a tablet pc.

It wasn't the entire keyboard; just the enter key. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to make a post. This PC is only a few months old, and I'm poor and ghetto. I'm not buying another PC.

Just get a new keyboard. They're ten bucks a pop. Canadian funds. You can probably get one for an American quarter.

I've got an old keyboard, it worked fine. But this keyboard matches the rest of the computer in color...so I'm hesitant to change it.

You could also try cleaning the keyboard, something might have fallen in and got stuck under that key making it not depress correctly :p
