Class Help

Hmmm, I seem to have overestimated my system specs lol I forgot. I bought, installed, updated, and subscribed to the game only to find out that my video card (although it has more than the necessary VRAM is not supported by the game (the rest of my specs kicked that mofo game's ass. I have a Radeon 7000 right now, guess it's too slow or something. Luckily I will be purchasing a G Force 4 TI (or TX I just know it's G Force 4) with 128 megs of Ram for $50 by next week when he replaces his with a Radeon 9800 Pro.

I was wondering what class I should be. I was extremely partial towards Ninja or perhaps Dragoon. Do those two pair up well as Class / Subclass? What would be a good Subclass for Ninja? Also, which race is best equiped to be Ninja?

I would say go with the one you like best.

Theres Tank, Damage Dealer(too common these days), Healer, Nuker, Support(like RDM or BRD).

NIN is either a tanking class or one that helps hate. But you have to be NIN lvl 60 go help displace hate.

Tank NIN: NIN/WAR, you provoke the monster and keep using Utemusi(Blink, creates copy images to absorb dmg) and you keep using it. Be aware they use one ninja tool per cast and you need to be able to cast to be a good tank. You buy ninja tools seperately. BTW if you havent figured, NIN is an expensive job.

Displace hate NIN: NIN/THF(lvl 60 only) becuase you get Trick Attack from THF and you can use that and Sneak Attack to do alot of damage. If you use Trick Attack, your attk goes up and whoever ur behind gets the hate of that one swing. Sneak multiples dmg based on DEX(i think) and if you use it behind a mob it does major long lasting hate on the PLD. Utesumi is still a MUST, because your prolly pulling.

Or if you like this at lower lvl you can alternatively do THF/NIN(although you only get lvl 1 Utemusi and not lvl 2). You can displace hate a lvl 30 when you learn Trick Attack. Race for NIN? Mithra.

DRG does not pair with NIN well. DRG and WAR or SAM does.

/WAR gives you power to help somewhat tank, you shouldnt but it can help in a pinch. You also get Beserk(raises attk, lower def), Double Attack(might swing twice), and Warcry(raises attk for everyone around you and raises hate to you). And its a good sub with your jumps.

/SAM gives you TP to keep using a weapon skill over and over. Bad if you keep spamming and making the tank have a hard time, so be careful. Lvl 60 this is somewhat doable but be careful still. Meditate=instant 60TP from 0TP(doesnt go over 60 ever).

/THF is somewhat viable for reasons like the NIN/THF, Trick Attack and your Pentathrust(major dmg and hate) can help this alot and keep hate on PLD.
