help, now nero wont work with my new cd-rw! it just logs it as and "image recorder" :S what does this mean and how do i fix it? i tried to record a cd last night and it recroded and image of it onto the c drive, that was it! help

When you install Nero, you have to select which device you will be usign it with, so maybe it has something to do with that. Try uninstalling/reinstalling.

In Nero, click on Recorder > Choose Recorder. If your CD-RW drive isn't show there, then something's wrong with your drive installation.

Or the drive is too new for Nero to recognise and you need to update Nero :p

Or even Nero is too new for the device drive to reconise it. :p

ok more info for ya; when i reinstalled it i selected my CD-RW and that was fine, but at the top of the nero window it has a drop down menu-that wasn't there before-that says "Sony CD-RW Image Recorder" and insted of burning it just records an image. but the CD-RW does work as i can burn cd's using the windows software that is inbuilt :S what is going on?
