You can't get the Dream Sword other than in the Awakening sequence at the very beginning. The Dream Shield can be acquired by getting all seven Arts and showing them to Merlin. The Dream Staff can be acquired by getting the highest level of every spell and showing Merlin.

The Ultima Weapon is a sword with faerie sprinkles... but not the Dream Sword. The Dream Sword was shorter and had Mickey's insignia on the spot where the blade meets the hilt. Sorry.

There are some stairs around the edge of the room. You have to go up them to the highest pooint and the oblivion is in a chest at the center of the "summit."
