Which is better? Early in the game I use the two swords regularly, but I switch to sword and shield when I hit the ancient ruins so that my knights/M.Knights/Ninjas don't get hit for 1000+ damage all the time. This is helpful in the ridiculusly long dungeons without a save point or recovery area at the end of the game. Let's hear your comments on this.

I always go 2 weapons. The extra damage is much mroe worth it in my opinion then a bit more defense. It's especially for Garuda having a party of 4 dragoons each with 2 spears. He goes down much faster then each guy with a single spear.

Two-fisted monkey style. I mean two swords.

Two swords. I don't think I've ever equipped a shield.

Yeah, they really made it unbalanced in that respect. You can sit there and take damage with a slight defense increase, or you can killify everything before it has a chance to touch you with your humungous offensive gain.

True!

The shield isn't worth it at all!!

Two Weapons is my way!!

And in FF3 I'm at Dorga's Cave :D If it wasn't for the two sowrds I'll be stuck in the beginning of the game :p

2 Weapons. Always 2 Weapons. Since I ALWAYS have a White Mage/Sage in the party with 830,000 Level 1 Heals available, taking a little extra damage now and again is no big deal. And besides, when you do so much extra damage, you kill things before they get a chance to hurt you at all. Truly, the best defense is a potent offense - at least in this game :P

Two weapons. Supremely powerful, and defence doesnt block much anyway, so I go with supreme attack stats. I am playing FF3 right now I got my fighter with two Mithril swords its awesome. I am not that far in the game, but i lovvveee this game!! Go with the 2 weapons!!! :chop: :shoot:

Two is always better than one...unless it's Matrix sequels.

Heheh...

Yup, two weapons. Or, in the case of monks, no weapons.
