I saw this movie for the first time a few days ago, and I've gotta say. . .

Wow. Yeah, just "wow".

Even after one time through, I've gotta say it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. I was told by a friend of mine that you have to pay close attention to catch everything, and he was right. After watchin' it a second time yesterday, more things made sense as I watched it.

David Fincher did a hell of a job, and I think I'm becomin' a bigger fan of his work as I watch more movies of his (Se7en, The Game). The acting was top-notch, which I'm sure was what hooked me in. I could keep goin', but I think I'll leave it at "I've got nothing but good things to say about this movie".

So who else has seen it, and what are your thoughts?

It's definitely a well-made movie, excellently constructed for its revelations at the end. I like how it violently sways back and forth throughout the movie - very disorienting.

Fight club =

I went to high school with this kid who modeled his life after Fight Club, started his own club, and got the crap beat out of him. He wasn't all there to begin with; he joined the army and had a nervous breakdown and now he stalks his old girlfriend.

That doesn't really have anything to do with the thread, but it was worth mentioning. ;) Fight Club am goal or whatever you guys would say.

I watched that movie for the first time alone in my old dilapidated city house over thanksgiving break a few years back. I spent the rest of the day cleaning.

Fight Club IS my favorite movie. This movie has got to be one of the best movies of all time. It shows society perfectly and how things really are. It shows how you start to think as you get older and get into mundane work such as he was. The way they tried to make the downfall of society begin, it was amazing. Such a great movie.

It's a very good film but it wouldn't make it on my top-20 list, mainly because it failed to plant itself in my memory.

Best movie ever, especially the last time I saw it.

I must agree. I enjoyed Fight Club quite a bit, as well.

As mentioned, it was great how everything sort of came together at the end, though, I suppose you could say that about almost any movie. Meh.

This movie is without a single doubt one of my favorites! I'm gonna buy it on DVD sometime soon!

I already have it on DVD, and I think I watched it once since then. It's a pretty universal metaphor for all sorts of 'improvement' concepts, and by now I've totally played out the movie in virtually all facets, making it tedious to watch.

BTW Stroodle, did you see the flickers of Tyler throughout the beginning, before Narrator met his alter ego?

Seen the movie 6 times. Read the book twice.

This is the Power Attack of Movies.
