Answer this, and answer this honestly. . . would any of you buy this?

And on a related note, do you believe health nuts are just. . . too nutty?

Just for reference. . .

its "Go Active" adult Happy Meals, which include a salad, bottled water and a pedometer to encourage walking

Yeah, you read right. Adult Happy Meals.

I eat at McDonald's every so often. I used to eat very often. That's not healthy at all, and is very expensive. I don't consider it to be 'unhealthy' food, but maybe I should pay attention to the time period where I would actually gag after consuming a meal. There's something wrong with the food if your reflexes force you to gag.

I try not to buy fast food. Period.

I think they're just trying to prevent more ridiculous lawsuits from happening.

Anybody who would eat prepackaged salads is nuts. There's no way those things can be good for you.

I thought that just determind the size of the drink and fries, not the burger...hmm.

Anyway, hell no will I buy any of that. If I ever eat at McDonalds again I will buy the "fattening" burgers and fries I've always bought.

But for some reason since getting out of bootcamp I can no longer eat McDonalds without getting sick. O_o

Yeah, me too. In N Out is so, so much better than any other fast food I've ever had. I actually ate something from McDonalds a little over a month ago... it was right after a show and my friends bought me some, and I was too hungry to resist it. But I used to eat JotB and McD's every day in 6th grade and I never wanna get back into that. Yech.

I think that they're on the right track, but I don't know if I'd pay for a salad, bottled water and a pedometer. They don't have to make the health side of it so obvious, they should just incorporate a more healthy selection into their menu because just by going by the reactions in this thread...some people will balk at buying this just because it's labled healthy.

DMKA
04-19-2004, 12:56 AM
Yep, and then theres those of us who will continue to go to McD's to be served the crap we've always went there for, and continue to go elsewhere for that which is healthy, as we always have. :D

Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way against a healthy addition to the menu, but I'm not about to turn to McDonalds for my health.

Anyway, why does Joel know what yarn tastes like anyway?

Misfit
04-19-2004, 06:24 PM
Because yarn plus cardboard supposedly looks like a brain... so he eats it in hopes of gaining intelligence. :D

Haven't you been paying attention to what we were saying, boy?!

Iceglow
04-19-2004, 06:29 PM

Hey, this just in. McDonald's. . . 's CEO passed away today. (http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/invest/extra/P81249.asp?GT1=3256)

It looks bad for the company. The president died of a heart attack...probably because he could stop shoveling Big Macs down his throat until he starting vomiting them....in which case he had no choice but to start eating more with EXTRA special sauce!!!!!
