Tell me what was your favourite scene in FF8? FMV wise?
Mine would have to be the opening scene, the attack on garden and the attempt assasination on Edea on the first disc.

But I havent seen the end FMV yet.

the start, the dollet scene, rinoa and squall first meet, quistis crushing the spider, squall jumping in the car to fight edea, seifer chicks rinoa to adel... too many!

I thought it was cool to her ulty laugh right when you start fighting her, not exaclty a scene though, but awesome evil sound.

But I did like the one on disk 1 when you first get to see edea and she retracts her mask and walks through the door

How stupid of me to forget. The plot to assasinate Edea is one of the greatest scenes in any FF game. The music kicked butt too.

I like the part where they were all running from that giant spider, and then Squall was all running and Quistis gets the machine gun, and *bam bam bam* Squall jumps and he makes it. Yeah that was tyte. And so was the assassinate edea, and the garden assault.

Yes, ultimecia does laugh. Its nice to actually hear a voice in the game- it would have been cool if the main characters could have actually talked. And i like the scene where edea is on the float in Deling City on disc 1. Good stuff!

has to be and has to be the lapin beach landing / escape scenes (dollet mission) I watched that and even before I got VII (I had 8 first) I knew I needed that game it looked the best thing since sliced bread (keeping the language in check) and I loved the demo of it

I liked the movie that only came in the demo of FFVIII where Squall is running from the spider tank thing, then as he jumps in the gun starts firing. As this happens the credits flash onto the screen rapid fire style. It made me fall over laughing the first time I saw that.

My favorite scene was the VERY beginning with the Fithos Lusec Wecos Fithosec song was in it. I think the scene was called Liberi Fatali or something like that(correct me if I'm wrong).

I really love the ending movie, I think it's one of the best in the series. *perfect*, in my opinion. Besides that--yeah, that whole string of scenes during edea's assassination was great...erm...how `bout when rinoa was out in space, and was going to 'die', then she saw the rings on her necklace floating up. I thought that was really cool . The opening movie was also very cool. It gave me goosebumps the first time I saw it.

Hmm, I don't remember hearing ultimecia laugh. At what point is it at?

I love the one during the attempt to assassinate Edea, and Squall takes out the Galdbadian soldier then jumps into the car. Terrific stuff.

i just know im gonna be hunted down by the rinoa lovers for this..

during the garden invasion, when the chunk of the quad falls from under rinoa and shes tumblin down, the first time i played i thought she was gonna get sliced and diced by the rotating disks below. i just laughed at thought at how creative square was getting at killing off the perty ones. then squall has to save her -.-

i dont hate her, just thought the game could have gone on without her in one piece.

and the ending sequence with seifer, fuijin and raijin (sp?) fishing. nice to know that they didnt condemn seifer (since the game says he was brainwashed and controlled by ulti, so he cant really be blamed for what he did, like edea.)

Um, the part when your running away from large scary spider that is metallic. But wait, Quistis jumps out and starts shooting the hell out of it. And I'm like...

"Oh yeah, she's my cup of tea."

Mine would probably be either the opening scene with the fight between Seifer and Squall with succession of witches playing in the background, the Edea Assasination FMV, or the ending where they have that video camera.

PS: Did you know that if you do major damage to that robotic spider on Lapin Beach in Dollet, that the Spider collapses itself, rather than having Quistis shoot on it?

i would probably say when shortly after you rescue rinoa (this is at the end of disk 2) and balamb garden shashes into galbadia garden and it just squall and rinoa, and they just set foot on galbadia garden and they have to run to the right and you can see all the people fighting in the background (and shortly after you name squalls ring). that looked awsome. and probably the begging and the end was excellent too

The openning, and the part of the ending when Rinoa realizes that Squall died and brings him back with her witchiness power.

She laughs when the fight with her in disc four begins. Sends a chill down my spine every time I hear it! *shudders* Oh, and i love all the scenes where you meet the main characters, esp. Selphie at the Dollet communication tower- the Garden uniform is so cool! Unlike the SeeD uniform, which in my opinion is really frumpy.

Dude, the opening scene, I first saw it as a teaser in a Software ETC....man, I was hooked. Other than opening scene, the two gardens fighting and the dance sequence. Surprised to see the detailed graphics...u can even see the reflections of the people dancing on the marble floor.

Oh and the Ultemcia laugh...I dindn't know it was a laugh! HA...I thought it was sum problem with Ulty's stomach or something...lol

lol that's what I thought too. The opening scene is the best opening scene Square has ever come up with. I also loved the war between Balamb Garden and Galbadia Garden (even though there wasn't really any reason for the schools to be fighting, was there?), when Quistis goes psycho on the robot spider, when Zell chokes on his hotdogs at the end and we find out that he and the library girl hook up (awwwww :)) and basically the whole of the ending
