I have some troubling information that they will be adjusting the tp amount that the penta thrust gives and its dmg....does anyone know anything about this?....being a dragoon I am very concerned...

They will be making TP adjustments, however there is NO real detail on what they really plan to do with it. Speculations are that the MNK relic gear makes them easy to WS in one hit, so it may be only that weapon only. Who knows? We just have to wait and see. But screwing Penta really is a sin if they do it...:(

On a different note I also heard they are going to add in a patch that allows the drg to heal is wyvern but only the drg can do it...anyone else know any info? Also, where can you find out about future updates. I always hear people talking about them in the game but I don't know where they get this info....

The current rumor is that you will get full TP for the first hit in a multiple-hit weapon skill, but the following hits will only give 1% additional TP.

It's funny that SE is trying to weaken the dragoon. At Gamefaqs, nearly every rant is how the dragoon is so gimped in comparison to a Dark Knight sub Thief at post 60 levels. They make it sound like of the melee "damage dealer" classes, only the Dark Knight is viable.
Still, I can see what they're trying to do. The one perk of the Samurai is TP generation, and a dragoon subbing samurai would make Samurai obsolete as a main class, just as a Dark Knight subbing Thief made the Thief class obsolete by taking it's best skills (trick and sneak attack) and comboing them with the knights more powerful skills.
I suppose Square is just trying to make every class equally viable. That's probably a good thing.

No its not cool...they have decided to remove one of the key factors that allowed the DRG to keep up with the DRK in terms of dmg. Now they have essentially removed it. It's interesting that they try to weaken the immese blow by allowing the DRG to now heal his wyvern via "Spirit Link". Lets be realistic. Any real DRG knows how to manage his wyverns' health and is used to it being defeated. Sure this will be helpful but does it replace getting up to 60% TP back after a ws is used...no. That's the truth. I can imagine MNK's will also seek revenge because I have seen many a MNK showcase Combo as thier ultimate technique. I would not at all be suprised to see petitions being istituted to correct this SE mistake...of which I will be glad to sign. As for the reasons of this "correction", almost every one one could be proven inaccurate if SE would just bother to adjust the TP gain for each weapon type to prevent TP being restored past a certain point. This would basically make it fair for everyone w/o ruining a beautiful skill. This is what just came off the top of my head in the few mins I had to think about the egregious issue :mad2: ...expect me to voice more after I have had ample time to consider more facts. I would like to hear what others think.

I feel the problem is that Pentathrust misses too much and you hit 2 out of 5 times and then the wyvern is dead and THAT is what really does most of the damage availible...a good RDM or WHM can easily remedy the slight lost of health.
