We all now that every once in a while, a game comes around with an awesome name.
What games do you think of and just say "Damn, that's a cool name!"
I had to think this over the other day, and I came up with my five favorite game names of all time.
5. A Bard's Tale - This is my favorite NES game name. It sounds so mystical and enchanted. Perfect for an RPG. I just wish I could say the same about the game itself.
4. Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance - What's better than an oxymoron in a game name? An oxymoron with cool sounding words in the game name.
3. Castlevania: Lament of Innocence - Coolest Castlevania game name ever. I just love this title.
2. Ephemeral Fantasia- Although the game sucked, I've got to say this is one of the greatest game names I've ever seen. The word Fantasia is a bit of a play on words, because the main character's weapon is a talking guitar.
1. The 7th Saga - I love this name more than any other game name I've ever heard. It's difficult for me to explain why I chose this as my favorite game name of all time. The game centers around collecting 7 runes to become a god. What is very strange is that the title seems to only focus around the 7th rune stone. Why did they choose to call it the 7th Saga when there is really only one adventure, with no prequels? Whatever the reason, it works in delivering an excellent name.
