what do they do?

i have passed KH and have been looking around the net at every walkthrough i can find to get any secrets i may have missed..... but one thing i can not find out is what those two rods in the 3rd district ( the one sticking out of the pipe that you cast thunder on) do???

any help please?

Well, obviously you already know what it does because you've cast thunder on it! ^_^ See- what happens after you've done that is the Gizmo Shop in the 2nd District becomes functional, meaning the gears start turning and you can get on top of the moving platforms in there to press three large buttons located around the room to, I think, get a Postcard- maybe two- I can't quite remember.

You get two postcards from the clock in that room after you do the above.
