Is there any point to the weight of a character in Xenogears? Often, Fei fluctuates from being 165ish up to about 180, but I notice no difference. Is there any reason why they give the weight?

Take care all.

I believe the more you weigh to your perfect weight the slower your character gets, whereas the lighter the more weak they are physically. It's not really a problem either way as it hardly makes a difference.

What he said. It's also a nice little comparison to have. I found that Fei is usually ~165, but Emerelda weighs well over 210 lbs. She's a beast!

I think the effect on your stats is fairly small, though. So, yeah, go ahead and get a Bartweiser gut.

Does Emerelda's weight change between child and adult forms? I never thought to check.

No - it stays the same.
