I don't know about you, but I probably couldn't, unless I was with Lindsey. If I wasn't away from the computer for him then... oh man what would I do... watch lots of Red Dwarf and read books I guess. xD I could probably last a week but I'd be itching within a couple of weeks.

But yeah, good luck I guess for whatever reason you're doing this. :p

I could provided I was out of town and away from houses with computers in them...AND something to do

I am not familiar with this term "computerless" it makes no sense to me. There is no way you mean to "not" have a computer, correct?

No, I'd suffocate.

I doubt I could, since I have to work on a computer.

And we'll never know if you could either. For all we know you could be here right, just logged out.

Come now, Matt. Give the poor kid the benefit of a doubt.

Regardless, I know I could - but wouldn't want to. I was off the computer for a year, for the most part, but now it's part of my daily ritual. This thing is always on, always connected, and it's the main source for messages, communication, music. I don't know how people in general ever existed without a computer. It seems weak, to me, when they complain about them. Computers have changed our lives, for the better. (Only weak-minded people, I think, can say that it's bad for us. I know I don't sit on my ass on the computer all the time, and if I did, I could stop.)

My daily routine requires a computer, but when on holiday I go without a computer for much longer than that. Plus people have live for centuries without computers. I'm sure I could manage.

I doubt it.

I could last a week without a computer, that is if I had no access to one.

If I don't have access to a computer I could go without one for a very long time and I have, but if it's right here in front of me...no.

I don't know about you though because you haven't been here all that long for me to know you very well.

I couldn't, so you couldn't.

I can, I just don't.

You can, but you probably won't. It's all up to sheer willpower, bud. You can if ya try, hopefully.

Even when I was volunteering like 600-800 KM out of town in the Northern Ontario area they had the internet in a 56k connection. I checked my email once a day I think.

So that's why I said that it is a requirement that no computers be nearby. :p

I probably could make it, but there would be serious withdrawl symptoms. I'd probably take up heroin to deal with the withdrawl.

Same here, maybe if I had a life I could.

I've only spent one week in the past four or so years in which I didn't care for computers anymore, and that was when I was on holiday in California, where my girlfriend-at-the-time was. I did go on the computer, though - I was forced to, because they felt I should email my Mum to let her know I was okay.

I just stayed a week without a computer, not a big problem as long as you have something to do. I missed my computer a lot, though. O.o

*ties 1st and 2nd poll option*

Yes. I went without one for six weeks in bootcamp and I didn't even think about a computer once. As long as I'm stuck in this hellish hell hole hell though, theres nothing else to do, and I really don't think I could survive in this hell house just sitting here with no computer.

Its all about being occupied really. As long as theres something else to do then I'm just dandy going without a computer.

When I had my laptop it used to die for weeks at a time, so yeah I can. Though I always got very annoyed cos I couldn't fix it and it made me feel useless...

I have to a lot, cause my computer dies and usually takes a week to fix. I've done this at least 3 times, so I could, but I wouldn't like it.

Did you enjoy the headaches/withdrawal symptoms?

I hope you manage it. I couldn't.

I've done it before, but it sucked. I wouldn't want to do that again.
