View Full Version : Just a suggestion. 8-)

Well, let me see here. I would like to make a suggestion. You don't have to like this, nor will you have to approve it. I just want to point this out, and maybe have people comment on it. I don't particularly approve of it, but that's not the case.
Anyway, I would like to propose that signatures be disabled for new members for one month. Just a month. I'm sure they can live without a sig for a month, and they'll get a feeling of what's acceptable in a signature and what's not by the time they are allowed to have signatures. Just one month of a newbie to be signature-less. I like to think of it as... giving them an extra step to being cool in EoFF. 8-)

Unnecessary. Also, change is bad.

I have some suggestions as well.
Most involve torture.

EDIT: Nevermind it's unnecessary now. I should really read these forums from the bottom up.

Not necessary. I like checking out new sigs.

I say for every member, allow sigs for a month, then disallow them forever.

*tempted to agree with Unne*
I would say that it is almost necessary, seeing as the only times I've seen 3-page long sigs it was a new member.

I agree with everyone in this thread.

Just kill beloved pets of anyone with overly large signatures. They won't do it twice.

I agree with Unne, except for the part where they get a signature for a month.

They can get that straight away by reading the signature guidelines.
Just Say No To Newbie Discrimination! *waves flag* :D

This is not newbie discrimination. This is just something I thought would be helpful. Maybe.
It'll help out the staff a bit and it'll be easier to distinguish who's new and who's not.
But I see you guys don't like it so disregard my stupid idea. 8-)

Looks like you're 0 for 2 in the past week, Proto. First the whole Root Beer thing, not this.

I don't like the idea of everyone being able to distinguish who is new and who isn't. Projects a bad image.

My root beer thing wasn't serious.

That would be a great idea, if the object of the game is to alienate and anger new members.

I'm not sure it would make much of a difference anyway. Chances are the new people would just wait a month and then put up an oversized sig.

Geez, Proto. Demanding, aren't we?
