Role players

[Del Murder]

Do you usually randomize the jobs you give your characters, or do they have certain roles? For instance:

Bartz - physical classes that use armor, like Knight, Dragoon and Samurai
Faris - speed classes like Thief, Ninja, and Dancer
Galuf/Cara - healer/support magic with White Mage and Time Mage
Reina - attacking mage with Black Mage/Summoner

usually:

Butz: Knight, Sorcerer, Berserker, Chemist, Geomancer, Bard
Lenna: Monk, Samurai, Summoner, Trainer
Galuf/Cara: White Mage, Black Mage, Time Mage, Red Mage, Blue Mage, Mimic
Faris: Thief, Dragoon, Ninja, Dancer

Butz: physical classes and abilities
Faris: agile classes and abilities
Lenna: magic classic and abilities
Galuf/Cara: magic classes and abilities

Although most of the time it's only Butz that is constant. I usually just pick which of the other three I want to use the agile classes and then make the other two magic users.

Sometimes I just make those decisions based on who looks better as a certian class.

yeah, i usually have all jobs mastered, so all my chars have all the abilities, and i switch them around to give me an edge for certain battles. But, for the most part, i generally use this:

Butz: physical and calls. (abilities: x-fight, call)
Lenna: black magic (black, x-magic)
Cara/Galuf: white magic (white, x-magic)
Faris: effect magic (effect, x-magic)

it usually works well, and gives me access to all spells (i dont count blue)

I actually maxed out my time by making them master all the classes. Yes, even the Mime. My time was completely maxed out.

Bartz: Pure Warrior. Only magic learned is White and Blue. (I try to have everyone learn "!Blue", if not just master the Blue Mage job completly.)
Reina: Mage/Fighter hybrid. Mostly mage.
Galuf: Another Mage/Fighter hybrid. Also mosly mage,
Faris: Pure warrior, except for Summons.

I only use Galuf in the game and the rest just laid dead on the ground. I enjoyed watching him punch things to death, especially Ex-Death. :bigsmile:
