hey guys, heres my latest Raph from the TMNT.....tho not the softer cartoon incarnations, this is from teh classic 80's issue 1. PLus a pencil of the much misunderstood female turtle Venus. many hate her which is uncalled for, she was simply underdesigned, i recon i make her look pretty cool

thanxx guys, it's good to know. i thought that only colouring the blood from raphs mouth really highlights the fight.....i created it with a battle with wolverine in mind.

www.ninjaturtles.com

this is the main site for turtles, run by one of it's original creators and if you go to the comics section it has the very first original issue one online that started the whole thing off. it's worth a peek, but beware, this is teh mature turtles, blood and all.

Those are cool. I thought the turtles' in the original comic strip were a more basic cartoon turtle shape? I could of sworn their heads were different shapes to the circular ones you were thinking of. Maybe I'm thinking of the original designs for them. I dunno, it gets confusing.

great feedback, im chuffed guys. ive already won the art contest at mirage once, i enterd that raph to try my luck a second time.

your not wrong chaos. in the original eighties strip the turtles wer alot thinner, almost gangler and turtle shaped. before that comic in the prelim artwork they were even worse, they were simply walking turtles. however as teh mirage serise continued the turtles beefed up, becoming larger and more muscular. differnt artists have always drawn their heads rounder or more turtle shaped, there was one who drew them very round with huge eyes and only slightly prounounced noses, this was also continued in the shortlived image serise of TMNT. at the same time the fact that turtle shells are so sensitive they feel and detect like hair was totally ignored. so when i was developing my take on the turtles i really took into fact they are mutants. they still have prounced turtle noses, but you can only see them on certain angles and when teh masks are on.

Ah right. My boyfriend is a turtlemaniac and he was showing me some early art for TMNT and I remebered it looked different to what you had done. I thought I'd try and sound clever. =D.

Still, they are good.

by all means Zuzu, show them around, it's nice to hear that people like my work. even if they didnt i would still do it because i love to illustrate...the most annoying thing is when someone wanders up, looks at my work and says "yeah..i should get back into doodling too" lol.

sweet, a gyrating possum adores my ninja turtles lol, i didnt know you were a girl chaos....maybe i should post some of my fantasy art.
www.ninjaturtles.com has a big list of every turtle comic published, with their covers and four page preveiws, you could look at a couple and seem more knowledgeable than him.

i actually just finished another illustration with all four turtles plus splinter last night, they all look ninja serious except for Mikey whos laughing his head off with shades.

my style really shines through doesnt it...i should post more of my work....wait untill you see my stitched doll girls lol

cheers all

Hah, no chance of me seeming more knowledgable than him. No way. I think he falls into the 'obsessed' category.

=D

Yeah, loads of people confuse me for a guy. Its probably the mascline name thing going on.
By all means, post more of your art! I wanna see it. You do have a cool style.

oh yeah i know the obssesd type.....i get them as mature studants and whne i worked in a comic shop..wow lol.

cool sig..i would never have thought of that in a million years, and my old user name was The Porn Goblin. i think people mistake you for male because it tends to be men who want people to notice them and think they are cool that choose a user name like that., for somereason i think it suits you.

OK heres a couple more illustrations.

Supergirl, but warning, it's a bit erotic because of her bum.

Grass the Goblin King is a character of my own creation who ive wrote a couple of short storis about and hope to novellise

the third was an illustration of a vegan girl i met a while back called Lillith
