Today I bought a DVD of first production season of tv-serie "24". I watched 12 episodes in a row and my eyes are going weird: they are rolling and they hurt me.

Is there any medi cine to stop your eyes rolling? I wouldn't want to sleep, but if that's what I gotta do to stop them rolling, I'll do that. Does your eyes ever go weird? When?

Rest helps. I used to get eye strain from my old CRT monitor. Unfocus your eyes (stare off at something extremely distant) for a good few minutes. You can buy eye drops too. Or just don't start at a screen for 12 hours in a row, that helps too. If you are staring at a screen, make sure there's plenty of ambient light in the room.

What do you mean by rolling? My eyes get weird sometimes. If I am at my computer for too long, it seems like they are going side to side in my head and it gets hard to focus. Is that what you mean?

Rolling, as they they roll around in my face. Kinda like this ---> http://stat.livejournal.com/img/talk/sm10_eyes.gif but they go circle. :0

Ah okay, yeah I guess that's what happens. Just do what Unne said, it's what I do.

You need to get depressed (ie: tired, bored, bored, tired). I suggest a rigourous activity involving fighting space aliens or gerbils. Personally I suggest you drink a whole lot.

In your situation I'd just sleep, really. Hiya Mikztsu. XD

Dork@.

Eyes are for sissies. I do all that stuff with my nose these days.

Pfft. My eyes never get weird on me, even after playing Disgaea for like 6 hours straight. They get tired, though.

I think some sleep might actually be your best bet... you don't have to sleep sleep, maybe a couple hour nap might be good enough. My eyes never start rolling around but I do get headaches if I watch too many movies or play certain games for too long. If that happens, I usually take some Advil. If it's really bad, I take Advil and take a nap. But just a warning, sometimes when it's really really bad, the nap makes it worse... but since you don't say your head hurts, it might not apply to you.

The only problem here is that you are not watching the second 12 episodes.

When my eyes go wonky I close them and listen to music for awhile.

It doesn't really help though.

my eyes go bonky when strobing lights go off...any extreme light....sunlight...and brightlights... flashlights....etc.....all go in my eyes, or that I see..... Usually i'll be temporarily blind, and then see spots for the next couple of hours....but aside from that, i've never had it serious enough to take medicine for, so I donno man.

I focus on a screen too long and I get tears in my eyes even though it doesn't hurt or anything my eyes just look like theyre crying it's quite embarrassing when someone asks if you were crying and your like "no, it was staring at my monitor for 19 hours just now" and they never believe me

Yams is right. Eventhough 24 is supposed to be 24 hours, every episode is 40 minutes long. I might look the rest half today and tomorrow. :) It's great really. Jack Bauers everywhere½!

If I watch too much TV or play too much Zelda, my eyes start to feel very heavy and strange.

I guess the "take a rest every 60 minutes" paragraph in my instruction manual is correct after all. :(

Once I played counter-strike and Team fortress for 8 hours straight.

Damn I was listening for footsteps all day. :(

I've watched 25 hours straight of Beast Wars, and my eyes have never done that. I dunno what yer talkin' about.

I must have spent too much time on this PC today, as I misread part of that sentence as "Breast Wars". Having said that, "Breast Wars" does have a unique and tantalising ring to it...

I've only watched 21 hours straight of Breast Wars.
