The facts are piling up and leading me to believe this is a joke, and in rather bad taste. :mad2: There are some quotations floating around linking Andy to a planned fake death, but who knows? This guy was nuts when he was alive, so who knows what kind of prank he's capable of? I just figure he'd do something much larger as a comeback.

Didn't Kaufman once say that if he was faking everything, he'd be back 20 years after or something? I read about that last week.

Of course, intentionally making it look fake would kind of be up Andy's alley...

There is no reason to believe that this is true. There's one reason: Tony Clifton! Didn't he still show up on stage after Andy died?

It was Andy's ultimate joke to arrange things so people wouldn't know whether his death was a joke.

I don't know anything about Andy Kauffman besides the stuff I saw in the movie 'Man on the Moon', but I believe it. I mean, reputable news sites have said that he gave DNA samples with a positive match for him, which makes me believe. If it is or if it isn't won't really affect me, though.

Tony was played by his friend Bob Zmuda everyonce in awhile to throw people off.
