When I installed Firefox I didn't set it as my default browser, and now I want to. I went to "Tools" -> "Options..." and clicked the "Set Default Browser" button under the "General" section. Then I restarted my computer (running w2k) just in case it needed a restart, or at least a log-out, for the changes to take effect. But Firefox is still not my default browser. Any ideas?

Reinstall Firefox, or use Mozilla instead :D?
You might need to tell IE to stop checking the default browser settings in CP > Internet Options > Programs too.

Never mind, my problem is application specific. When I clicked a link in AIM it opened up in Firefox. The application I was testing this out on before (Lotus Notes) just happens to open all links up in IE rather than calling whatever the default browser is.

You're still using Lotus Notes?
Pourquoi? Lotus has been dead for years

Everyone in IBM has too much invested and tied into Notes through databases and the like to cut it loose.

Stop using bloated goats. Write a memo to somebody to change it.

I just did a few days ago - it decided to blue screen then corrupt system files on my boot partition when I attempted to copy around 9 GB of data from one partition to another (both on completely unrelated physical disks too) several times :D
