Yes, I understand all that jazz about how it's a S/He. However...an experiment has been done. Try using Zidane's ability "Protect Girls". He protects Quina. Thus...Quina is atleast mostly female.

For what is worth the spanish version of the game refers to her as a "she" and seeing that it is a faithful translation of the script i assume she is one.

All that tells you is that Zidane thinks Quina is female (not surprising, considering its outfit). It doesn't actually confirm Quina's gender.

It's pretty clear that Quina is intended as an asexual being. Otherwise, it would have been labelled as either he or she.

i would say that the Qu are androgynous as DocFrance said, but i'v always thought of Quina as a male. also the points raised about the protect girls ability, i think what BlackMage121 said holds true :)

Quina can equip some armor, ect. that is meant only for girls and can equip some that is only meant for guys (not all of either category).
