Spiders are interesting. I don't have a favourite, but I like to watch them build their webs.

I'm not afraid to touch them as long as I know that they're not the poisonous variety, but most would get squished if they were touched. I'd never touch one of the shiney black ones though.

Spiders are cool, and I've been bitten by them many times in my sleep.

Are you people familiar with that funny urban legend of spiders crawling into your mouth when you sleep? Because your mouth is naturally moist they like to go inside and you will just spontaneously swallow them.

I) I love them all, because they eat flying bugs. I hate flying bugs, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Spiders are interesting too. Can't say I feel anything but awe, watching a tiny mindless creature create a huge complex geometric form better than I could do myself.
II) I'd be afraid of being bitten, but I don't flee in terror when I see them. Spiders are nothing to be afraid of, so long as you leave them alone. Sometimes spiders find their way into the house, and I leave them there, and they don't bother me.
III) I'm sure everyone has. Live in hick country where I live, and you'll be bitten by quite a few things over the years.
IV) I saw some big ones in the pet store once. Maybe 4-5 inches across, I don't know.

1) I really don't like spiders.. but the web-making kind (those that don't crawl about) are okay, I guess.
2) I don't know if I'm afraid... but I would certainly want to avoid it.

4) A distant relative of the tarantual.. some 2-3 inches across, black and hairy.

One time I was on a spider rescue mission and my friend was an arachnaphobe and was very scared and grossed out that I was gonna touch it.

2. One time I reached under my bed to remove a bit of 'fluff', and it turned out to be a dead spider. I nearly had a heart attack.

The big ones are cool. Not my favourite animal, though.

Well, I'd rather limit exposure to a glass and a sheet of paper when expelling them from my room.

Yes. Well, I was informed by a reliable source that the bites were spider bites. They were biggish (2cm diameter?) splodges in a line on my leg. It got me about four or five times without me even noticing! They itched a bit and took a couple of weeks to clear up. Didn't hurt.

IV) What's the biggest spider you've ever seen? Just how big was it?
In the wild? I saw a bunch of golden orb spiders in Queensland. Their bodies were about the size of a locust and with their legspan they covered easily a handspan. They looked something like this...

I don't really hate spiders, but they do freak me out.

Yes, much to the chagrin of the rest of my family. I can usually get to them by sucking them up with the handheld vacuum, though...

Probably. All of the spiders who live around here are too small or too defenseless to do anything even noticeable.

Probably a daddy long legs no bigger than my finger. I do remember seeing a wolf spider in its grass cave once. I couldn't tell how big it was... but it certainly the most intimidating spider I've seen.

I wouldnt want to, I never have and they move too fast to be touched.

I can't really remeber, probably a bit smaller than my palm, thats including leg span. I've seen big spiders at Zoos and stuff, but nothing massive IRL.

I talk to the spiders I find in the house, I give them names.

ALL spiders are venomous. It's just that some (most, actually) don't have enough venom, or it's not powerful enough to harm or kill a human-being (a full-grown adult, anyway).

I saw a spider out the window last summer. It was about 2 inches long and seem to look like it was moshing (or maybe it was the wind) and I was listening to SoaD - Spiders, so I called him Moshy.
