Hey! I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but anyways I want to know is there anyway you can change or modify your username?
Thanks!
Rusty

PM an admin, and ask for them to change your username. That's about the only way.

You can also PM Loony BoB, who'll PM an admin for you :p

So I PM Loony Bob and ask him to change it for me?

Leeza

Yes, that would be the best way.

I'll start referring people to you when they PM me, Bleys. I don't want you to feel left out.

I'm planning a 'you can change your name just PM (some guy who used to be Roo because he allowed me to do it)' thread in GC. Should I now advertise it to say 'Bleys'?

Now Im confused...who do I PM to change my user name? :)

Leeza
05-28-2004, 03:56 PM
You can PM any Admin...but I would probably PM ShlupQuack or Arche.

Peegee

I tried to start a thread telling you who to PM but they closed it.

Yeah, PM Arche. Like, 50 times. Just keep PM'ing him until he does it. I think you can send a PM every minute, if not every second or something. So just PM that bum until he does it because he's a big fat stinker.

PM at least five admins simultaneously whenever you want to change your name.

You have more chance of it being done quicker that way. :D

Loony BoB

If you have AIM, Yahoo! Messenger or mIRC, you can also catch various admins that way. Most of them have the names listed in their profile.

Hmm. Maybe we should add in an mIRC field where we can list our common #eoff names.

YOU CAN PM ME! I'LL DO IT! It'll be... theatre of the mind. *nods*

I was joking. Do not PM me with a name change request. :(

Admins, change her name to "Rusty".

When I had PMs requesting name changes, I usually forward it to an admin. :p

You lazy bums.

That's what I normally do, too.

You have no idea how many people requested name changes from me... I think it got to the point that I had more than one request a week at one stage.

Letting people know what to do is hardly lazy. xP

I've never had anyone ask me for a name change.

I get like one request per month, if that :p

I wonder what would happen if I changed my name to ♙♙♙♙♙♙♙♙ ♖♘♗♕♔♗♘♖. I probably wouldn't be able to log in.

Hi. I logged in with using my shiny new cactaur-wielding-a-sword username, └┤ ∵├〆 :D Well, that's what it is for you Unicode-enabled people anyway. Probably won't work in the version of Opera I have though, since that doesn't support such characters.

EDIT: Is it Cactuar or Cactaur?

The Man

Cactuar.

What a weird-looking username. I did a huge WTF when I saw it on the online users list. xD

this forum is only for profound social commentary.

I always preferred Cactrot, personally.

The Man

I always preferred the more accurate "Sabotender," at least as soon as I heard it. (Saboten, incidentally, is Japanese for "cactus," or so I'm told).

And at least one of those requests was forwarded by me. :p
