54 hours, and i did alot of extra stuff before the final dungeon.

Not in 54 hours. It took me 172 hours to do all that has to be done to face and defeat Penance. And yes he is one of the hardest FF bosses ever.

33 hours is the shortest I've beaten it in (my first time through). I didn't do jack as far as extra quests are concerned, though.

Penance is PAL, right? I don't recall him in my FFX...

hmmm...I believe my clock is at 58 hours. I did get yuna, auron and Riku's ultimate weapons and also Anima n' Magus sisters. If I had a PAL version I would still be playing it....I wanna face Penance so bad.

My clock was on about 110hrs. That was mostly spent capturing fiends for the Monster Arena and trying to fight the creations, plus trying to get Break Damage and HP Limit on a few of my guys. Didn't attempt the dark aeons, maybe I'll do that one day. I play slow anyway xD

130 hours, and I didn't even blink at any battles inside Sin. If you break it down, though, it's actually about 60 hours of actual gameplay, 10 hours at blitzball, 10 hours capturing fiends, 5 hours with that #@&%* chocobo trainer, 2 hours dodging lightning bolts, and so on. The side quests killed me. Oh, and about 30 hours at omega temple, trying to level up enough to be able to walk across a room and not die. And 10 hours wandering around, trying to figure out what to do with the cloudy mirror.

I was at 109:36 when I went to fight Jecht's aeon. I had done everything there was to do except level up to defeat Nemesis (I have the US version). After I had done that, I was at about 158 hours.

currently on 102 hours, had game completed at 60 hours, now just have to beat dark yojimbo and penance and nemises and then done.

i am at the dojos road(sp) and i have done 7hrs. all my peeps bar yuna and lulu have 1500+hp

About 250 hours, just defeated Penance last Friday. Now I'm gonna master FFVIII in a no EXP game. Wonder how long that's going to take.

It took me about 200 hours and that is doing everything except fighting Penance. I've maxed my characters to the limit, fought every creation in the monster arena, played a hell of a lot of blitzball, fought and defeated every dark aeon and acquired every celestial weapon for my characters. Phew!!! Penance, here I come!

I did about half of the sidequests on the first. The second I plan to perfect. And the third...I guess I'll play it "Gang of Thieves" style.

No. Its when you reroute a couple peoples paths so that they learn steal/use as soon as possible. Then you have masterminds, medics, enforcers, etc. Its quite fun to play. Theres a FAQ on it on GameFAQs that inspired me.

this is just to all you peeps who are stills in the middle of playing FFX. where are you know? i have just gone past the calm planes and fought some big dude made out of stone with 64000 hp, easy.

I think I had something like 72 or 73 hours. Not a super-long time, but still. I didn't do any of the sidequests really, not even the getting the legendary weapons. I was lazy-I didn't feel like doing all those things to get them. I prolly would have hated the game by then.
