People seem to be using the phrase "It's all swings and roundabouts" at the moment (and by people I mean people I talk to, not people here), and I was thinking, it makes no sense.

They say both offer you different things, but I hate roundabouts and prefer swings, roundabouts just make me dizzy.

So anyway, which do you prefer?

Isn't a roundabout what we call a traffic circle? Or is it like a merry-go-round or something?

A swing is, well, a swing ,right? A chair with strings. In which case I prefer a swing.

Roundabout as in merry-go-round.

Hence the playground aspect of it all.

I've never been on a roundabout before, but I love going on swings. Sometimes they make me a little dizzy, but they're fun, especially to jump off of.

There are both equally enjoyable in the most perverse sense of the word "equally"

Swings are far better.

I was never a child, never ever. I'm boring.

Like big merry-go-rounds or the little playgroud ones? They took out all the little playground ones around here years ago because, apparently, anything fun is dangerous.

Anyway, I like both.

Actually, they're both provide me with hours of solitary entertainment, on the old playground down the road. It's become a danger hazard so I go there by myself and play on the slides, swings and roundabout what have you; and smoke weed there because no one else annoys me.

I remember those roundabouts. We'd run around as fast as we could holding onto the handles and ride it around.

Swings are good for jumping.

I'll be the roundabout
The words will make you out 'n' out
And change the day your way
Call it morning driving thru the sound and in and out the valley

They both make me feel sick, but swings don't make me dizzy, so I prefer swings. Preferably just sitting on them not moving very much.

Roundabouts made me feel very sick. Swings didn't.

*votes swings*

I hardly went on roundabouts, so I enjoyed gong on them when I could. But I had swings in my garden (Yeah! :)!) and I loved them too. So... both!

THE MAGIC ROUNDABOUT!

...do Xan and Lindz have matching sigs and avs, or is that just me?

Swings, definitely. Carousseless (or however you spell that word) make me sick.

Roundabouts always made me feel dizzy. Swings were fun! Like flying through the air and getting jerked back to the ground, over and over. xD *votes for swings*

I like Swings better than Rounderbouts. They make me feel too sick.
I like the soaring sensation you get with Swings. Swing low, sweet chariot. Coming forth to carry me home!

And yet NO comment on the Ash lyrics, last time I got a PM and everything ;_____;

You do realise that Zebedee is the child of a demon and a box of springs? Zebedee evil master of the roundabout, child of lucifer, bringer of springy pain to all who oppose him and his roundabout to hell.

You know what was fun? Going around on the merry go round as fast as you can and then having your friend throw baseballs at you and hope you don't get hit. Then, when he does hit you, you jump off at just the right time and tackle him at mach 3 and break his arm. Oh what a gas!

Swings - I loved swinging really high, and then jumping off about twenty feet into the air. Nearly gave my mom a heart atack doing that once.

Opeth > Swings > All > You > Dream Theater

I prefer Damnation to Still Life, hardcore vocals isn't really them.

But, damnit! SWINGS!

I'll vote for swings, but if you let go of either you will go flying.
