Anyone remember this SNES game? I just recently remembered it and got some MIDI's from online. Just wanted to know you thoughts on the game.
It plays like a Zelda-esque action/adventure game, but imstead of free roaming, you simply watch tell you guy where to go out of his options and watch him go there. However, besides this, it is great. The dungeons and puzzles work great, as do the sidequests like collecting the Red Gems, which score you some sick upgrades.
You assume the role of Will, a boy who has special psychihc powers and attack usig his flute. But will can also transform into the Dark Knight Freedan and the Liquid Morph Shadow. These characters have thier own set of special abilities that you must use in conjuntion with each other to open the many pathways in the lairs. For more infr, go here. (http://www.terraearth.com/)

Oh yeah, here's some MIDI samples.

I own the game and play it here and there on the SNES. I beat it when it was a new game way back when, and is still an engaging title. Still, I found parts of it to be too rigid, like you mentioned, and the plot would waver every once in a while. All in all it was a solid game, and I enjoyed how it weaved together some history with fantasy.

Take care all.

The part when the pig got fried was sad.

Hell yes the part where the pig got fried was sad. I almost cried when that happened the first time. I couldn't help it... the music was so sad. HAMLET!!!!!!

And then you got to talk to his spirit on top of the Tower of Babil before the final battle. That poor pig...

He didn't deserve that.

I love this game so much. My favorite scene is the showdown with Jackal in the Great Pyramid. The final battle is one of the best ever, too.

I really liked the game, but around the Sky Garden area it starts becoming REALLY annoying. Places like Angkor Wat and that mushroom forest that is an insane maze with about five huge screens, the Vampire's place, the Great Wall, etc.. Still really fun though. Oh yes, If you collect all of the Red Jewels you get to fight Jewler Gem, who is actually one of the first masters in the game Soul Blazer, also a good game and also for SNES

I read somewhere that this is a sequel to Soul Blazer, is that true?

That actually wouldn't surprise me. when you fight Jewler Gem he says "I was defeated in the year of the Blazer" which hints at it being a sequel. But that's the only connection I found.

I heard the same thing. I cant remember where.

I still have the game for the SNES, it's a lot of fun. I cant stand Kara though. Ugh.

It is indeed the sequel to Soul Blazer; before it was released, game magazines even referred to it as Soul Blazer: Illusion of Gaia. The concluding installment in the trilogy is Terranigma.

I remember thinking this game looked awesome but never playing it. Perhaps I will remedy that someday.

You should. Don't forget to get all of the Red Jewels for a wonderful... erm... surprise.
