Okay, I tried to get the date with Barret. I even skipped Yuffie so she wouldn't mess it up. I told Aeris she was a drunk and gave the flower to Marlene. Not once outside Midgar did I use any girl. But, I get to the Gold Saucer and who should come walking in? That whore, Tifa!

How do I get the date with Barret!?

Always talk to him first when given the opportunity, treat Aeris and Tifa like they don't exist when possible, and always take Barret's side with everything, including the first raid of Shinra HQ.

Also, make sure Don Corneo picks Cloud during the cross-dressing scene. Then keep resisting Don until he says "What's the matter? Do you already have someone?" Then answer, "Yep, there's someone called Barret." For a complete list of what gives Barret more love points and lowers the others' affection values, check the dating guide in GameFAQs. Oh, and Tifa's not a whore.

I wouldn't call Tifa either of these.

Seeing's on how i haven't gotten the date with Barret either...but, why would i? (it'd freak me da flip out man, just WRONG) only Tifa and Aeris dates, not Yuffie, did get her in time...oh well

Yuffie = 16

Those two dating is just wrong. He's way too old for her. Then again, Tifa's only 20, and she owns a bar, and even worse, they have a six year old girl watch the bar while they're out (okay, I don't really know Marlene's age, but I know it's not 21) :lol:.

Actually, Marlene's four if I remember correctly. ^^ And I'd say there's worse age gaps out there than 5 years. XD

You mean Zidane and Eiko (age difference of 10 years) or Edgar and Relm (even bigger gap)? xD

Cloud and Barret's "date" isn't that sick, gross or wrong. They just have a men's talk about which girl Cloud likes the most, but then Barret freaks out as he begins to think Cloud might have the hots for Marlene. Then he rages around a bit. Some of their dialogue is also pretty good. Not a bad date sequence, although I still prefer going out with one of the girls because of the theater sequence, and hearing "Interrupted by Fireworks" music during all their romantic talking and firework FMVs is very sweet. With Barret, his theme plays instead of "Interrupted by Fireworks." Kweh.

lol what is wrong with that? espically in the uk where 16 is the legal age of consent. and she is pretty cute :)

No U.S. Flags... but Tifa's 7th Heaven clearly states that it is affiliated with Texas.

That FAQ Sephiroth1999AD mentioned is a really good guide for getting the Barret date. If I remember correctly, there are a few really weird things you have to do to get those affection values tipped in his favour. It's worth it, though. Funny, funny stuff. xD

It's wrong because no 16 year old I have ever met is mature enough to handle a sexual relationship. Heck, most 21 year...... no, not even. Most THIRTY year olds I know aren't mature enough to handle sex. And anyway, it's just plain wrong that Square coded in a date sequence with someone other than Heidegger...

lol true no ones ready, so what does it matter how old they are, there both not ready so there is no imorality in them being together, only foolishness.

i cant imagine taking heidegger out on that date. hes so fat he would break the carriage u ride in, not 2 mention the gold saucer staff would throw him in there prison 4 being a shinra agent.

Who do you think you are? Waltzing right in here threatening people to close...oh, admin. :lol:. Just kidding.

I've never actually seen the Barret date myself (or Yuffie's, for that matter). I used a GameShark to get to the debug room where I could set the Love Points, then go to the dating sequence, but for some reason, it locks up when you try to date Barret, but doesn't for anyone else (so, yeah, I have seen Yuffie's, but not legitly, and that makes all the difference).
