I've actually never seen one of those things either, RSL, but I think that you're meant to keep up with wherever the screen tells you to step. You're supposed to dance, not hang on to the bar and just move your feet around.

Never tried DDR but i have seen people do it in arcades, they are coming out with some sort of "funcam" DDR now or something for the ps2
