Y'know that little list of recently visited sites that pops up when you click on the arrow to the right of the address bar? I have something in there that I REALLY need to remove. But, removing it from the history didn't work! So, it's not in the history, but it's still in that list!

What should I do!?

If you use Firefox, you can clear all privacy information (forms, passwords, history, cache, cookies, etc.) by clicking a single button.

Yeah, I know, I use Firefox, too, I just don't wear a big sign that says "Mozilla r0x0rs my b0x0rz" everywhere.

This is like any number of episodes of Saved By the Bell or Full House.

"Well i have this... friend... and my friend has this problem..."

That didn't work, Baloki. Nothing has changed. The list is still there.

Did you clear history as well?

...No. My parents randomly check the history so I can't really delete it. I can select pieces to delete... but nothing more.

Then you can't get rid of it, if you want a clever trick set the history timeout to 1 day then clear it all, when they goto check they'll just think it is a random windows error.

*groans* Why des everything have to be against me? I have the history timeout on 0 days but no luck.

EDIT: Okay... I've cleared it and have just done a bunch of random surfing to replenish a good-looking history. Hopefully, you'll be seeing more of me. If this works, I vow that I will never look at pornography again until I'm safe in a college dorm!

Why do you have to have something in the history for your parents to see? Seems silly, when browsing the internet is only a small part of what you can possibly do online :p You could use the Paranoia options in TweakUI to make Windows wipe several tracks/lists every time to logout/login/reboot and as far as your parents will be concerned, it'll be something Windows just does by itself :p Why not install Mozilla/Firefox too - they have better privacy options, and your parents might not know to check such alternate browsers :p
