cant find the captain

I cant find the captain on disc 2 balamb when the galbadians come and i found out he was in a car put cant open it any help

Go to the pier. There should be a guy with a dog. Talk to it and the dog will run off. Follow it. You may have to talk to the guy fishing at the pier first though and then speak with Ma Dincht.

I just finished that part last night. What you need to do is go to the peir talk to the two soilders and one of them will say that captain was just there and that he caught a few fish. After that go to Zell's house and Zell's mom will tell you that a man just cooked fish in there. After that go back to the pier and talk to either the man next to the dog or the dog and the dog will run off and you will have to follow it to find the captain.

One way to know that Ma Dincht will tell you that the man was cooking fish in the house is if there is smoke coming from the chimney outside.
