question about SeeD uniform

ok in the brady games ff8 strategy guide, on page 6, in the basics of battling section there is a picture of squall performing renzokuken on a caterchirpillar, except he is wearing the SeeD uniform. (not the blue cadet uniform, the one he wears to the innaugeration party) how is this possible? i know you cant exit the garden after curfew and quistis wont let you in the training center unless you have changed your clothing.. is there a way to actually wear the seed uniform in other parts of the game?? any help is muuch appreciated. thanks.

I have that strategy guide, and looking at page 6 right now, it looks like the blue cadet uniform to me. It's discolored a little because of the "Renzoken" lighting effects, but the trim on the collar and shoulders is silver, and the patterns look like the cadet style as opposed to the SeeD uniform. Granted, I had to stare at it for a minute, so I can understand your double-take, but I think it is the cadet uniform, the lighting just makes it look weird. It makes more sense that way game-wise as well.

It's probably pictures taken from a Beta version. My guide (Piggyback) is the same. There's three pictures of junctioning screenshots with Apocalypse spells, Squall it wearing his regular outfit in a picture of him being chased by the Black Widow, and a picture of Rinoa outside the SeeD boat.

I thing the demo version of FF8 has Squall, Zell and Rinoa wearing their normal clothes during the field exam.

Yeah, I believe at that stage the story was a little different to what it was in the final version. I remember screenshots of Squall stood on top of the boat-style-thing to Dollet wearing his normal clothes, Rinoa also joined the game earlier in the beta and was seen outside Dollet etc.

If you use the debug menu you can wear the seed uniform in the game.

It does. It came with Parasite Eve, if I remember right. They're all in their normal clothes, and Rinoa is with them.

Parasite Eve's demo disc only had a video of FFVIII. Brave Fencer Musashiden's disc had the actual demo.

Changing the uniform will glitch things up no matter how you do it.

I got to the point where you run to garden to warn everyone about the missles untill the cadet uniform started to bug everything. Like the hollogram of cid not loading and stuff like that.
