Have any of you from countries other than the U.S. and Japan gotten FF XI yet? I'm just curious, because all I ever come across is American and Japanese players.

I'm from Finland and I have it. It's not released in Europe yet, but some shops here sells imported games and I bought one.:)

Btw, does anyone know will the European players come to same servers with us?

From what I've heard all the UK players will be on the same server as everyone else!

Im from the UK but I got it on import XD

It would only make sense that they would use the same servers. I'm not up to date on how full all of the servers are, but I'm sure they won't have to add anymore than one or two at the most, and I don't even think that'll happen.

I am going to say i am looking real forward to the EU release and hopefully get people to party and talk to during the wee hours when i play extended times. I am sure they are releasing it around end of this year to EU. ^^ /early welcomes EU that didnt get import.

Sadly from what I have heard, they are not releasing FFXI in Europe until late next year. Doesn't bode well for those not willing to import. I haven't got it yet, but I'm getting it on import as soon as I can afford it. I'm not willing to wait that long for it to come out over here. :mad:

Europe release I hear is late this year, not next year... and I live in Australia and just imported it for PC.

That's why I'm hoping so, too. My timezone being GMT+2, it's very late in here when it's the best playing time for American and Japanese people.

Also, it'll be released in Europe this year. Hopefully at the same time with new expansion pack?

The release date for the EU is 2005 earliest. Square-enix have met some setbacks. Still, IMPORT IMPORT IMPORT- and then laugh as you play before they do :P

I'm from the UK so don't have it yet. I'm still undecided about getting it anyway... when I do I may just get the PC version though, which will save having to get extra stuff for the PS2.
