Well, we had our thread about British Rock groups, so how about us Yanks now?

What are some favorite American Rock groups/Artists?

For me, in no particular order:

The Allman Brothers
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Dave Matthews Band
The Greatful Dead
Bob Dylan
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Phish

Sometimes, I enjoy Bruce and The E Street Band as well.

Also forgot to mention, Elvis.

Take care all.

what about neil young? is he american?

He's very much so Canadian, no doot aboot it.
But his friends Crosby, Stills and Nash are Americans.

And though individually all the members of System of a Down may not be from America, they formed in America, thus being an American band, nonetheless.

(More bands to add to my list)

Red hot Chili Peppers - The Greatest!!! Is there any other American Rock Band worth listening too?

I went to see them in concert at Hyde Park on Sunday and they were out of this world, absolutely amazing. I had never previously been to a Chili's concert but it was well worth the concert fee and I would see them again most definitely.
