POSSIBLE SPOILERS! NO MESSING AROUND WITH THE STORY THOU! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I was playing FFX (duuuh) last night, trying to obtains Aurons sigill.
For you people who doesn't know how to obain it, you'll get it in the calm lands after you've catched a lot of different creatures. 10 monsters of 10 species in 10 regions of Spira.
So that's a lot...
Anyway, after I got Soul Springx99 and Poison Fangx99 I thought that there could be more of those. So I started to collect all monsters in a region, maximum limit of each monster of course (10).
I went back to the shop keeper, or what you now may call it, whatever, that's not important, and I got:
Soul Spring x99
Poison Fang x99
Three Stars x60
Mana Spring x99
Mana Tonic x99
Supreme Gem x60
And a tip for all you people that's going to do this. Buy Rikku a catcher weapon at the shop. Then use Mug on all enemies, and you'll end up stealing Hypello potions, Lunar Curtains, Elecro Marbles. Hey, I even got a gambler's spirit!
And you'll get a LOT of spheres as well. I used those to power up my aeons since I can't get all eight of them. So I thought that my current ones should kicks ass ;) Mwuhahahaha!
I'll come back with new information among the progress. Aiiight!
Oh, by the way. This forum suck when you're writing posts that's this long. You'll get logget out, have to re-login and write everything over again. This is the third time for me, so COPY all posts that's a little bit longer than usual... ;)

Yeah, this stuff is actually common knowledge. The monster collector will give you 99 of an item every time you capture enough fiends to unlock an area, species or original monster creation.
And the rewards get better as you unlock more of these "super fiends".

Aight, didn't know that. I've only seen that you'll get Soul Spring x99 in a few walkthrus for the Celestial weapons.

No worries. I just wanted to give you a heads up before you went through all of the work of documenting the list of items.
But on a side note, we don't have a monster arena section on our front site yet. And if you manage to figure out how the items are awarded we would be grateful that we could put it on the front site. :)

You even get Dark Matter x 99 when you've caught enough monsters.
Handy stuff.:)
Great for modifying weapons.

Aight. I'll start writing things down then.
I'm thinking to logical to belive that there's an coincidence what you get from catching what monsters.
I belive that every region supply you with something if you've caughted enough with monsters. The shopkeeper are telling me that he need [whatever] to create a new monster.
I dunno about the dark matter, don't what it's for. Don't even know what I'm going to do with all my Chocobo wings, farplane stuff and what's their names. I just collect since I know it's rare items. haha
Have to check some FAQ to know what to do with them ;)
I bet that you get the Dark Matter after collection all monsters within the Omega Ruins. Sounds logical. haha
Anyway, since I can't get Tidus celestial weapon, I should try to get my hands on a FAQ that describes how I can create a KICKING ASS sword for him. I should be able to create anything with all my stuff! LOL!

WOW! That's a long list! Notify Flying Mullet about it and he'll be really glad :D And thanx for posting it, you've just saved my week :D WOHOO! Haha.
haha :D I type in the message box, then I copy and paste into notepad before posting. Just for sure ;)
Does anyone know another list what all these items are good for?
I mean, I have a lot of them. I want to remodel some kickass armor and a f***ing phatass sword for Tidus since I can't get the celestial weapon for him.
Oh, and by the way. What does the Triple overdrive feature do?
Lulu is just as weak as she was before she got the weapon, and I didn't get 3 overdrives when using the overdrive. Only thing I've noticed is that I can hurt some poor creatures with over 10.000 HP.

Check out www.gamefaqs.com. I'm sure that there is a list of modifications there.

When you have Triple Overdrive your overdrive guage fills up three times as fast as normal. And Double Overdrive fills up your overdrive guage two times as fast as normal.

AH! That's what the triple overdrive do! :D
Neat! Now I only need to figure out how to gain more overdrives.
I only have 3 for both Auron and Tidus, and only one for Wakka. hah.
*typing in www.gamefaqs.com* hehehe

Neone, to get the rest of Wakkas overdrives you need to win blitzball games and for Aurons you need to collect all of Jechts spheres (8), plus 1 Auron sphere and 1 Braska sphere.
