View Full Version : Can't Sleep, Clows Gonna Eat Me

Bleh, I just got a solid 2 hour sleep, and I have a ball game this morning. So I've been wondering. I NEVER get a good night sleep usually, and I'm an insomniac, but I don't want to take pills or medication for this. Do you guys have any sleeping tips? :tongue:

Hold your breath until you pass out. With luck, you'll start breathing again and hopefully be asleep. If you're unlucky, well, you probably will have trouble waking up then.

Don't try to go to sleep or watch TV in bed. That always puts me to sleep.

Besides drinking until you pass out, you mean? Try some essential oils, like lavender (I think), and write down what you need to do the next day on a sheet of paper near the bed, so your mind knows it doesn't have to sort everything out. Might trick you into sleeping better.

I used to take Tylenol PM when I couldn't sleep, but you don't want to take pills. So I don't know.

maybe you could attempt to never go to sleep, then you would become exhausted and once you were all tired you could then go to sleep. dont try going to sleep if your not tired. it never works... at least not for me.

Exercise. Do plenty of exercise and you'll sleep without a problem.

Failing that, you could always try medication.

Be physically active throughout the day. Run your heart out if you have to, or life weights. Take a couple of hours before bedtime to just cool off and just be. You should fall asleep easily.

I usually go through my most hated subject's textbook to sleep. Time taken is 10 minutes according to my sis.

Try to stay awake while watching TV always used to do it for me. Now it doesn't.

Anyway, I usually just lie down and tell myself I won't fall asleep but will just 'rest my eyes' . . . I'll usually pass out soon enough. Either that of a nice HOT shower always does the trick.
Random note: I also have a shirt that reads, "Some mornings it's not worth fighting the clowns under my bed." I have a phobia of clowns.

What I do is I read untill I get tired and then I fall asleep.

I usually use meditation to calm myself to a point where I can go to sleep. There's many different techniques, but I usually just focus on my breathing until my mind is clear.

I wish I had some sleep meds, I've been trying to sleep all week, last sleep I got was about 3 hours last monday. I can't distinguish colours anymore (Not really but my vision is bad now) I need some freaking animal tranquilizer right now, can anyone spare a shot?
