As few of you might know, one of our own, Squall04 is heading off tomorrow to begin Basic Cadet Training (BCT) at the US Air Force Academy. It's a tough six weeks of training, but he'll be well on his way to becoming an Air Force officer.

As even fewer of you might know, I will be working as BCT cadre this summer. Meaning that I'm one of the cadets in charge of training Squall04 and his classmates. I'll be giving them the experience of a lifetime - and if I see him, I'll be sure to let you all know how he's doing. So good luck, and remember -

Tomorrow, your arse is mine, SMACK!

So do you have your lines from Full Metal Jacket memorized to yell at them?

He better have people come to expect them, those of ones from Platoon and other such films even Aliens (like the one below)

The captain: "So any questions"

Hudson: "I got one, How the hell do I get out of this chicken S^&t outfit?"

The captain: "You secure that s^&t Hudson"

no refference to our own captain but I cant remember the name of the guy. but yeah I know several people in the airforce and army also one or two in the navy and they actually say that they expect that stuff.

Well good luck Squall04 and Doc france give him hell :D

Doc - don't be too hard on him, man. Only give him 600 or so more push-ups than everyone else, and only make him run 10 more miles a day. You know, not too much.

And have fun with them Doc-dude and have fun being BCT cadre. ^_^-
My father is in the Air Force himself and he gets to yell at all the airmen who come to Keesler sometimes. Ah. The stories I get to hear. So wonderful.

Who is Squall04? Doesn't even look like he's 18 yet.

If you meet a guy named Daniel Reed (should be a graduate, maybe in officer training), tell him a friend wishes him godspeed.
