Discuss. Favourite placement position and why. How long did it take you to realise the little PlayStation logo could be rotated 90 degrees to suit how you PS2 is standing? Took me like, 5 months.

Mines vertical to save space. And I found out the thing with the logo while I was setting it up.

I've always kept it horisontal.

Vertical, it looks so much better standing up.

Horizontal is more stable and it's easier to insert the disc.

That's why I have it that way.

Why would anyone place it vertically?

My friend Robert had his vertically place but his cat "Magus" came can knocked it over, the PS2 hit the floor and the disc tray lid opened when it hit floor, the disc for Devil May Cry was lodged in there, he had to open up his PS2 to take the disc out but the disc was so scratched that he can't play it anymore, he went to get it resurfaced.

Horizontally. It's easier, and I don't really have a decent place to stand it vertically.

I'm not going to spend more money to buy a stand just to stand it up.

Sony does not have a history of making duarble products. Horizontal is safer.

You don't really need the stand. Just a couple of flat surfaces. It doesn't stop it from being a pointless idea, though.

Vertical, its the only way it will fit on the shelf and have the sterio next to it...

I always keep mine horizontal

Horizontal for the safeness factor.

Vertical. I used to keep it horizontal until one day, for some reason, it stopped playing blue-backed discs. Then when I turned it vertical, it played them again. I also do it to save space. I knew you could stand it up since it came out.

Horizontal. It'd be terribly unstable and also would look stupid on my entertainment center vertically.

I just have my PS2 on the top of my TV, so it pretty much has to be horizontal. I have no problem with it being horizontal. My PS2 has had problems before ANYWAY, so I can't imagine the problems it would have if it was vertical.

And I found out about the logo thing about, say, 60 seconds ago when I tried it after you told me about it. :D

I like to read instruction manuals so I found out about the logo thing before even playing my first game. I keep it horizontal because I sometimes I have to jump between two floors so I put it on the carpet. It would be very easy to tip over if it was vertical on the carpet.

Ditto.
