INFO: Chains Of Promethia Release Date

Since it's not posted on the main site (or not yet anyways) I thought i'd say there IS finally a release date to FFXI:Chains Of Promethia Expansion. That date is the 21st September, plus, to add the icing on the cake, Europe are getting FFXI on that very same day. That's right, FFXI in Europe, on 21/9/04 (true british date type). Good good, eh? :D

YEAH!!!! i can,t wait for the expansion pack! you get new areas, mysterys, and even new NPCs! the only bad thing about it that it cost $50.00

I dont see why complain, the japanese and north american ppl have to pay an additional price for the expansion. So its 50 bucks for the game and prolly...i dunno 30? i think that sounds fair for an expansion...ontop of the original game.

Its the same as when it released here...game is out, expansion came with it in the same bundle for 50, the only thing is that you guys got TWO expansions and not just one....poor jpn ppl tho they had to buy both ;-;.

Yeah, most expansions for games go for around $30 if you buy them just as the expansion and not as a bundle pack with the game and expansion.

It cost me 30 to pre-order it at EB :P and I thought the guy said it was September 16th... Jalbrean would know! :P He's got contacts in EB :P

Windows version: $29.99 (USD)

Note: This expansion pack contains only the Chains of Promathia expansion data and is intended for users who already own FINAL FANTASY XI. It is not possible to play FINAL FANTASY XI using this product alone.

For those who have not yet purchased FINAL FANTASY XI, we will continue to provide the original game, which includes the bonus Rise of the Zilart expansion pack.

We will also begin service of FINAL FANTASY XI in Europe to coincide with the simultaneous release of Chains of Promathia in Japan and North America.

No, it's not. Because the American and Japanese players share the same server, a simultaneous release is required so that every can play. I believe when an expansion comes out it is required to continue playing, so it just wouldn't work.

No it does not... When you get your game, be sure to remember to activate the Rise of Zilart expansion, Kegsay. I was level 16 when I finally realized I hadn't activated it yet.
