how do you raise your chocobo?and something else to find these dead peppers you have to have a lot points in the game of chocobo hot and cold?

The chocographs lead you to locations of chests, which mostly contain items and weapons, but every so often one "upgrades" your chocobo to the next level - Shallow Water, Mountain, Ocean, and Sky.

Dead Peppers begin to appear among the items you dig up during chocobo hot and cold after your chocobo gets its moutain upgrade.
