Ive never seen any place sell a copy for that cheap. I say your best bet is going to a few pawn shops and see if you can get lucky. There is always Ebay too.

Why not cheat. I have it for the snes, but i also downloaded an emulator of it into my pc. You can play the game on a programe called ZSNES. Just do a search for "Secret of mana emulator" and see what you can download.

*I* downloaded my version as a ROM, so :P. But I gotta admit, I'd like to try the REAL version, as Emulator sound is CRAP!

Yeah, discovering the glitches is more fun on the SNES. :D

What do you mean, "glitches?"

Bits of the game where things don't quite work as they should. Damage gets delayed by a few seconds, team members start running off in weird directions, animations don't get displayed, colors get screwey, the game just generally coulda used another month or two in development. Then again, it had a programming team of one.

My favorite isn't so much a glitch as it is lack of attention to details. There's a feature with certain spells that you can exploit for invincibility. It even works on bosses. Certain spells cause the target to freeze in place before doing any damage. If you time it just right, you can re-cast the same spell before it's even finished being cast the first time. In addition, if you're playing as the spell caster, the other two characters will continue attacking. This causes damage to form a queue that can even last after the monster has been defeated. In fact, I've made minor monsters play their death animation several times over, and I've even been able to target and cast spells on said death animation.

Yes, glitches.

I....think there's a Sword of Mana out for GBA, or the likes, but no Shield of Mana to my knowledge.

Here's how the series goes:

Seiken Densetsu - Final Fantasy Adventure/Sword Of Mana - GB/GBA
Seiken Densetsu 2 - Secret Of Mana - SFC/SNES
Seiken Densetsu 3 - STILL unreleased in america :mad2: - SFC
Seiken Densetsu 4 - Legend Of Mana - PS1

I've got secrte of mana for the snes and on an amulator, aswell as Seiken Densetsu 3 on an emulator. I got sword of mana for the GBA a while ago. My favorite is secret of mana then Seiken Densetsu 3. Sword of mana is ok, but not quite in the same laegue.

Yeah, Seiken Densetsu 3 is a good game, especially for the replay factor (A party consisting of 3 of 6 characters, each having 4 final "jobs." Any way you do the math, it means a lot of different party combos, especially as each lead character has his/her own unique story line (Even if they only differ at the vary beginning, end, and little snippets in between.))

But yeah. If you get a chance, download it for sure. And if it's released in the U.S. I say BUY IT, DAMMIT!

if you have problems with sound just get the latest version of zsnes as the sound for snesx9 isnt always top notch *lol* but regardless its still not the same as the good old snes... although i supose you could get one of those snes controlers for the pc and then hook your pc up to a tv lol.

yeah Seiken Densetsu 3
was pretty good (for those wondering what this is its the third installment in the secret of mana series the first was for game boy the second for the snes as well as the third)
