Missing Score does crap damage. I think it's supposed to reflect some other status that Barret has, though I don't remember. I just know it sucks.

The Missing Score's damage depends on how many mastered materia Barrett has equipped. So if you want to do more damage, load him up with mastered materia.

hmmm ok thx i'll try that

I like the title.

And DocFrance is right.

Just avoid using Barrets physical attacks...and blow up the enemies with summons and his final limit break "catastrophe" which inflicts 2000-2500 up to 8 times.

I've heard it's not necessarily "Mastered" materia, but the AP on each materia. Which makes Underwater slightly less useless (Aside from against Emmy) as it contiually consumes AP. (Does it ever stop gaining?)

I don't think Underwater stops gaining AP. Of course, I don't usually run around with it equipped. I'll look into the whole Missing Score/AP/Underwater Materia thing. And by the way, could someone give me a list of what determines damage for each ultimate weapon?

Well, Venus Gospel gains due to MP
Ultima Weapon is HP
As is HP Shout (Not sure is it's inversely, or directly. Never really used Cait Sith, so...)
Princess Guard gains with people who are down
Premium Heart is determined by the Limit Guage
Missing Score is Materia Related
Limited Moon, I forget
Conformer has something to do with levels (If Levels are equal, perhaps? Not sure.)
Death Penalty gains with more kills made with it.

Thanx, I was wondering. I'll ask that one "Master of FF7" guy for the others. As for Cait Sith, screw him, I don't use him either. (Limit breaks that kill you... damn toy...)

Actually, isn't the Conformer based on if you're using Morph? Just a thought...since it nearly inflicts 9999 everytime with Morph.

Conformer does regular damage with Morph (i.e. not really weak, but a normal attack), but I think overall it's HP based.

Conformer is based on the enemy's level. Enemies with higher levels will take more damage. Why it works so good with morph I do not know.

I don't think Underwater stops gaining AP.

I read a guide at Gamefaqs.com that said Underwater can hold over 4 million AP and then resets itself to 0. That'd help Barret if you take the time to do it.

Ooof. LOTS of time on that, though.

Base Damage = Att + [(Att + Lvl) / 32] * [(Att * Lvl) / 32]
Damage with ultimate weapon Modifier =
Missing Score's Base: 1
Missing Score's Bonus: [AP on Missing Score / 10000]

Also note that AP from the Underwater materia does [b]not count toward the Bonus.

We don't do math here.

What's wrong with math?

Anyway, even if it did, the max he could do per hit would still be 9999.

Dangit. Stupid Barret.
