OK, I'm sure SOME of us here have taken an AP Test at some point during their high school years. Which ones did you take, and what did you get on them?

I just got back my US History results back, and I got a 4. That's much higher than I was expecting. I thought I got a 3, at best, but hey, that's one class that I won't have to take, and one step closer to being an AP Scholar.

I took some. I passed the English / History related ones, but not the Math / Science ones. :)

If your major pertains to one of the AP tests you're taking, most likely you'll have to take the class anyway in uni, especially engineering majors.

I got a 5 on both Calculus AB and BC tests. I got a 4 on the Chemistry, US History, Biology, Government and Economics tests. I got a 2 on both English tests, which really pissed me off.

You just got yours back *is jealous*! I haven't gotten mine from this year yet.

Last year, I took AP US History, got a 5, so I hope I'm done with history forever, this year I took US Government, Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science A, so we'll see how those go.

Not a single one out of all my 5's helped. Okay, well Calc BC and Stats did help a bit.

The cool thing was I got to take them discounted senior year because I was poor.

I didn't have the opportunity to take any AP classes until this upcoming year, my junior year in high school. I'll be taking Computer Science II AP, American History AP, and EnglishIIIAP.

No, we took the AP Class, and then at the end, took a test to see if we get college credit for it.

I got 4's on both European and U.S. History but I haven't got my results for this year's tests yet (Psychology, and Government). I actually signed up for the Physics, Lit, and Econ tests but my counselor from USC told me that they don't really give a damn about the AP tests you take senior year. So I took the money from those 3 tests and bought an LCD monitor :)

Back in junior year, i took the AP History exam despite having only taken the standard history course. It was common knowledge that our class had covered far more material, and i wasn't the only one there who tried his hand at the test. But what we hadn't gotten was direct AP preparation, so most of us scored lowly twos.

Senior year, i scored a three on Calculus and fours on Biology and English Composition. Calculus and i were spiteful nemeses, and it was a day of much celebration when i found i'd not have to take my core Mathematics requirements.

They didn't let us do nice things liek AP classes and such :( we had to be really good math students and then they would maybe let you take a dartmouth class. Damn them

It means "Advanced Placement." It's pretty much a high-school class that covers college material, and in May you take a test of your knowledge over the subject that are generally extremely difficult. The scores range from 1-5, with a 3 being the grade that most colleges accept as knowing the material. It allows you to earn college credit in high school.

I just heard from College Board...

Psychology - 5
Gov. & Politics - 3

I didn't even take the AP Psychology class and self-studied off of Princton Review a few days before the test, and I DID take the AP Government class and studied for weeks before the test. How odd.

I guess I should be happy, but the 3 is making me a bit sad. meh.

Just got my scores back. I got 5 on Computer Science A, US Government, Biology, and Chemistry. I'm really suprised about Computer Science A and Government, I just took those tests for the hell of it, never thought I would do well.

AP American Literature 11th Grade
I passed with a 3 but it was very very hard.

Kudos to all those who passed other ones, I saw the study guides, holy hell.

well, i took these a few years ago:

Calculus BC - 5
US History - 4
Microeconomics - 5
US Government - 5
English Lit/Comp - 5
Physics C Mech - 5
Physics C E/M - 5

The best part was my University gave me huge amounts of credits for these scores. I even got a year of Physics with lab. It ended up covering my enter core curriculum, which was nice.
