Yaep, it's about time FFVIII got one as well. I'll start with the first question. Remember, you can only make a question after you answer another one.

What is the key item you need for summoning Doomtrain called?

Lehteb
07-16-2004, 04:35 AM
Soloman's Ring

(I'm right, but just to set a good example I will wait for comfermation)

GhandiOwnsYou
07-16-2004, 04:52 AM
Quite right, and good for you for waiting. but i'm not QUITE sure it's coming....

Eh? Whatever, your go Lehteb.

Triple T
07-20-2004, 09:13 PM
It's been 4 days. Can't you get someone elese to post a question? ^^

kikimm
07-20-2004, 10:29 PM
yes, let's get the ball rolling already! ;)

:D

Trumpet Thief
07-20-2004, 10:41 PM
Alright, let's see then.

Name the items you need in order to get the DoomTrain GF.

kikimm
07-20-2004, 10:47 PM
--6 remedy+
--6 marlbobor tentacles

:D

Trumpet Thief
07-20-2004, 11:01 PM
Research Centre place, or uncharted area on the world map.

kikimm
07-20-2004, 11:03 PM
i can't believe you got that. oh well. You turn then.

:D

Trumpet Thief
07-20-2004, 11:07 PM
Let me think...

During the cinematic at the Dollet Mission, the cinematic about the radio tower, what is the object that falls down?

Trumpet Thief
07-20-2004, 11:21 PM
Yeap, your turn.

Trumpet Thief
07-20-2004, 11:35 PM
Actually, there are a whole bunch on the Islands Closest to Heaven/Hell, and there is also a prawpoint where you can get pain next to Radio Broadcast Tower above Dollet area.

Since I am probably right, I'll make a question.

Who are the two people you can draw Eden from.

Trumpet Thief
07-20-2004, 11:53 PM
Winhill Area, Timber Area, Centra Area (Where Edea's house is), and Trabia area

How many times does Squall slash his gunblade with Renzozuken and Lionheart put together?

kikimm
07-20-2004, 11:58 PM
doesn't that change? my squall wouldn't always do the same number of slashes.

:D

Trumpet Thief
07-21-2004, 12:03 AM
Wha? Both Renzozuken and Lionheart have a fixxed amount of slashes. find out how many times they shall and out them together.

Mo-Nercy
07-21-2004, 02:50 AM
4-8 actually. And I'm pretty sure Lionheart is 16 hits. One hit is inflicted by the enemy hitting the ground upon landing. So that's 15+4 minimum and 15+8 maximum

19-23 hits.

Trumpet Thief
07-21-2004, 02:57 AM
You got it Mo Nercy!

Mo-Nercy
07-21-2004, 01:57 PM
Cool. I guess the Lionheart hits though.

Q : What is the Latin phrase which must be entered as the name of a painting in the art room in Ultimecia's castle. AND what is the english translation of the phrase provided by the game?

Mo-Nercy
07-21-2004, 11:45 PM
Correct.

Lord Xehanort
07-22-2004, 01:13 AM
Nice job!

Trumpet Thief
07-22-2004, 03:03 AM
Quetzacotl, Shiva, Ifrit, Siren, Brothers, Diablos, Carbuncle, Leviathen, Panemonia, Cerberus, Alexaner, Doomtrain, Bahamut, Cactuar, Tonberry, Eden, Pheonix, Oin, Gilgamesh, Boko

Name all of Zell's LB's (Really easy one)

GhandiOwnsYou
07-22-2004, 03:42 AM
The Moomba....... *thinks extremely hard* was the other one a Mog?

kikimm
07-22-2004, 05:07 AM
wasn't it a chocobo? crap, i'm getting things screwed up...

EDIT: oh, you already said that one.

:D

GhandiOwnsYou
07-23-2004, 02:29 AM
i still want to get one of those damn pocket stations so i can get those guys....I mean, Summon Moomba? Thats wicked..

What is the actual meaning of Fithos Lusec Vicos Vinosec? (I'm going to have to double check with a scholar to make sure, so it may be a day or so confirmation wise)

TasteyPies
07-23-2004, 02:38 AM
Fithos lusec wecos vinosec loosely translated means..
"hey dudes party hard!"

And if youwan't to know, liberie mei means...
"my youngens"

and Surgite means..
"get your arse up"

GhandiOwnsYou
07-23-2004, 03:18 AM
Actually, I'm running into serious roadblocks finding the answer to that one, so the Questions up for grabs. I forfeit my turn, next poster gets to ask one.

Mo-Nercy
07-23-2004, 08:07 AM
*claims deeds to SocietyzAntidote's trivia question*

What spell can be drawn from the hidden save point in the Balamb Garden cafeteria?

kikimm
07-24-2004, 03:39 AM
isn't it demi?

:D

disapointedchild
07-24-2004, 04:47 AM
esuna or blizzard maybe?

Mo-Nercy
07-24-2004, 09:59 AM
Demi : Cafeteria
Esuna : Library
Blizzard : Training Center

Thus kikimm gets the next question.

kikimm
07-24-2004, 08:07 PM
score! hmmm....

---what happens to you when you devour a t-rexaur?

:D

Lord Xehanort
07-24-2004, 11:47 PM

kikimm
07-25-2004, 01:27 AM

Lord Xehanort
07-27-2004, 03:03 AM
It is Owl's tears and Gil... but more than 250.

Zante
07-27-2004, 10:13 AM
500 then?

Rusty
07-27-2004, 02:19 PM
Or 750 gil?

Trumpet Thief
07-27-2004, 10:25 PM
Owl's tears and 350 gil.

Lord Xehanort
07-28-2004, 07:03 PM
It's 500.

Zante
07-28-2004, 08:42 PM
Which spells can be drawn from a Malboro?

Trumpet Thief
07-29-2004, 12:07 AM
Poison, Blind, Berserk, Doom?

GhandiOwnsYou
07-29-2004, 02:50 AM
poison blind berserk and esuna?

Zante
07-29-2004, 06:43 AM
Poison(Bio) is right, but there are two other spells.

Rusty
07-29-2004, 07:25 AM
Poison, death and silence?

Zante
07-29-2004, 07:44 AM

Az Lionheart

A: Bio, Demi, Quake

EDIT: Ahh, I'm too late. =(

Zante
07-29-2004, 01:45 PM
Yeah, that's right. Doom asks the next question.

FallenSilence
07-31-2004, 02:19 PM
Triple T can have it, I can't think..... :)

Triple T
07-31-2004, 09:00 PM
Woohoo :aimwink:

Q: What is the answer for the 2nd question of the 4th Seed Quiz.

Trumpet Thief
07-31-2004, 09:02 PM
Yes.

Trumpet Thief
07-31-2004, 10:06 PM
I am one hundred percent sure that Yes is the correct answer, and since this thread becomes dead real quick, I'll just post another trivia question.

What is your reward for beating Ultima Weapon (Besides Eden which is drawn by him)?

Lord Xehanort
08-01-2004, 12:42 AM
Three Stars?

kikimm
08-01-2004, 12:55 AM
100 ultima stones, maybe?

:D

Trumpet Thief
08-01-2004, 03:02 AM
You got the right answer kiki! Three Stars is given to you by Omega Weapon.

Trumpet Thief
08-01-2004, 04:34 AM
Oh yeah... Okay, either one of you can go.

kikimm
08-01-2004, 05:23 AM
I'm getting....thinker's block, so Doomsday, you go.

:D

Zante
08-03-2004, 06:46 PM
Jack, Knight Club, Princess Diamond, Prince Spade, Xu, DR. Kadowaki, Quistis. Don't remember the cards you get thoug. :(

Lord Xehanort
08-03-2004, 07:38 PM
Jack has a few Mid-Level Boss Cards, Xu has Gilgamesh and Minotaur. That's all I know.

Lord Xehanort
08-03-2004, 07:54 PM
I know how to get Minotaur. But if you Card Mod him into 10 Adamantines, you can get him again from Xu. And, one of the punks has Gilgamesh, but you can't get it until all the CC Group is on the Ragnarok.

870621345
08-03-2004, 09:59 PM
No, you can get Gilgamesh from a CC group member in Balamb Garden too, and you are correct, all lost or card modded cards can be reacquire on disc 4 in the Ragnarok.

EDIT: Except Pupu

don't you get gilgemash from quistis? (The CC card king)???

870621345
08-03-2004, 10:47 PM
I think this is right...

Joker-Leviathan

Jack-No rare cards.

Club-No rare cards.

Diamond-No rare cards.

Spade-No rare cards.(I think this is the one who gives you the first set of cards at the bigining of the game)

Heart-Carbuncle

King-Gilgemash

870621345
08-04-2004, 08:01 PM
ok so how about this question.

Q: What are the names of all Squalls Weapons and what items do you need for each? (easy but long)

870621345
08-04-2004, 08:51 PM
I'm actually playing this game right now, so this shouldn't be too hard:

Revolver: 6 M-Stone Piece, 2 Screws

Shear Trigger: 1 Steel Pipe, 4 Screws

Cutting Trigger: 1 Mesmerize Blade, 8 Screws

Flame Saber: 1 Betrayal Sword, 1 Turtle Shell, 4 Screws

Twin Lance: 1 Dino Bone, 2 Red Fangs, 12 Screws

Punishment: 1 Chef's Knife, 2 Star Fragments, 1 Turtle Shell, 8 Screws

Lion Heart: 1 Adamantine, 4 Dragon Fangs, 12 Pulse Ammo

*applause* yay, now your turn.....

Lord Xehanort
08-05-2004, 08:48 PM
Okay, I will.

What are the exact words used in the menu to describe the location of the 2nd Weapons Monthly Magazine you find in the course of the game?

870621345
08-06-2004, 02:28 AM
ummmm......*puts thinking cap on* I don't understand....

Zante
08-06-2004, 08:21 AM
Isn't it in Squalls room?

Triple T
08-06-2004, 01:57 PM
Umm, wow... Is it "Weapons Monthly Magazinge April" or something? xD

Zante
08-06-2004, 02:44 PM
I think Ansem is refering to the name of the location you can see in the menu.

Lord Xehanort
08-06-2004, 06:44 PM
It is in Squall's room, GLR... but what does the menu call Squall's room?

And yes, the magazine is April's edition.

Zante
08-06-2004, 07:07 PM
I'll gues Dorm? Or Dormitory?

Trumpet Thief
08-12-2004, 04:07 AM
chaos: Sorry Ansem, you are taking to long to confirm, so I will just give a new trivia.

Rubedo: How much money are you paid at SeeD rank A?

kikimm
08-12-2004, 05:37 AM
I was beginning to worry about this thread...

Anyways. Could it be...30,000 gil?

:D

ChaosCalibur
08-12-2004, 06:11 AM
It's 32,000 gil... I think...

Trumpet Thief
08-12-2004, 06:39 AM
chaos: ChaosCalibur got it!

RUbedo: Nice try kikimm, you were very close.

Lord Xehanort
08-12-2004, 07:41 PM
Holy Shi'ite! I forgot about this place! Sorry guys! The answer was 'Dormitory Single'.

Now, on to CC.

ChaosCalibur
08-12-2004, 07:52 PM
Whoa, i got this one too... Ok, What's the max number of cards with the same name can you carry?

Lord Xehanort
08-12-2004, 07:53 PM
99?

ChaosCalibur
08-12-2004, 07:56 PM
Nope :\

Lord Xehanort
08-12-2004, 08:03 PM
100?

ChaosCalibur
08-12-2004, 08:10 PM
Again, no. Instead of just guessing, you should do some research...

Lord Xehanort
08-12-2004, 08:21 PM
That won't be easy, since I never really bothered with cards. The only ones I ever really looked into were one of a kind. Besides, I'm not going to go to Gamefaqs.com for answers. That's an insult to my honor. I'll keep guessing.

Trick question, there is no limit?

Zante
08-13-2004, 07:51 AM
I think it's 255.

ChaosCalibur
08-13-2004, 06:05 PM
Nope

Trumpet Thief
08-13-2004, 06:35 PM
chaos: 300?

Rubedo: Or 315?

ChaosCalibur
08-13-2004, 06:48 PM
Nooo way too high

FightClubFan#47
08-13-2004, 06:49 PM
10?50?

870621345
08-13-2004, 08:18 PM
well let's think about his rationaly.....he says 300 is way to high and when you think about it the answer HAS to be more than 40 (you need 40 tri-points for a jet engine) so I will say in a total guess because I have never had more than 10 of one card, 120!!!!

ChaosCalibur
08-13-2004, 08:47 PM
Again no, well if no one gets it, i'll just give it to the person who got the closest

Lord Xehanort
08-13-2004, 09:47 PM
Let's end this already.

Random guess: 70?

ChaosCalibur
08-13-2004, 09:52 PM
what's with you Ansem? You seem impatient...
But again,no one got it right so here's the answer, the number was 126 or 128, it's either one of those number ( I forgot the Exact number ) so 870621... something something, got it right, since 120 was the closest! again i had to give away the answer :(

Lord Xehanort
08-13-2004, 09:59 PM
Sorry, I get irritable when I'm wrong. *gives CC 100 Ansemmy Points as apology* *realizes that CC is'nt part of the Trinity and thus is ineligible for Ansemmy Points* *takes them away and gives CC a fresh batch of Yaoi Fudge Cookies and a batch of Peanut Butter Yuri Cookies*

870621345
08-13-2004, 10:51 PM
hmmm...I didn't think I was that close but I guess it's my turn...

how many feet under ground is shumi village

FightClubFan#47
08-14-2004, 02:13 AM

870621345
08-14-2004, 04:32 AM
ummm.....................no.......................

kikimm
08-14-2004, 05:17 AM
Was it 300? Or 3000?

:D

ChaosCalibur
08-14-2004, 06:08 AM
It's not underground, it's by the mountains

Lehteb
08-14-2004, 07:11 AM
wasnt it like... 343? it was some weird number like that i thought... :choc: :choc:

870621345
08-14-2004, 05:37 PM
*ding-ding-ding* correct 343 is the right answere

CC- it is under ground....after you get to shumi village you take the elevator down....

FightClubFan#47

At what age was Quistis enlisted as a student in Balamb Garden?

was it 13? :D

Zante
08-16-2004, 12:09 PM
...15?

870621345
08-16-2004, 05:33 PM
hmmmm....well I will have to say somthing like 12 becasue 13 is taken...but I don't ever remember her saying when she was enlisted....only when she became a SeeD and a Teacher..but Im prooly wrong!

Lord Xehanort
08-16-2004, 08:17 PM
She became a SeeD when she was 15, became an instructor at 17, so I'll guess she bacame a student at 10.

Jolts
08-20-2004, 07:54 PM
Well, she was there before Squall was, and Squall got there at age 10 (or was he 8?), and Quistis is one year older than Squall. I say Ansem got it right...now to wait for confirmation.

In case he's wrong, though, I guess 8.

nik0tine
08-22-2004, 09:50 AM
I think she got there at age nine.

Mo-Nercy
08-22-2004, 11:24 AM
Yeah. Ansem got the treasure. His question next.

Lord Xehanort
08-22-2004, 10:40 PM
OMG! I can't believe it!

Okay, here's the question: What GF's cannot be drawn in Ulti's Palace?

870621345
08-22-2004, 10:46 PM
ok easy....

quezacotl

shiva

ifrit

brothers

diablos

doomtrain

bahumaut

yah! :D

Az Lionheart
08-22-2004, 10:50 PM
that is easy

Lord Xehanort
08-22-2004, 10:56 PM
That list is incomplete.

870621345
08-22-2004, 11:03 PM
That list is incomplete.

hmmm....well I am not missing any regular GF's so I thought you were a loony....

but are you talking about Odin/Gilgemash??

Lord Xehanort
08-22-2004, 11:34 PM
Yes... and the Moogle, Moomba and Chicobo from PocketStation... and I didn't think you could draw Tonberry and Cactuar from any of Ulti's pets.

Mossy
08-22-2004, 11:39 PM
I wouldn't have thought of the pocketstation. No, I don't think you can :)

Jolts
08-23-2004, 07:51 AM
I didn't think you could draw Tonberry and Cactuar from any of Ulti's pets.
You can't. You can only get the GFs that you can't go back to get (which are the ones that can only be drawn from bosses), excluding Gilgamesh (if you get Odin after fighting Seifer at the end of Disc3, then you're SOL).

Lord Xehanort
08-23-2004, 07:46 PM
Well, since I gave it away, and 870(blah blah blah) was the only one to give any kind of answer, he can go...

870621345
08-23-2004, 10:08 PM
how many bosses are in ultimecias caslte?

wakka
08-23-2004, 10:26 PM
I think.....seven???

Polyonymous
08-23-2004, 11:15 PM
nine maybe?

Triple T
08-23-2004, 11:34 PM
Ok, there's 8 servants, but there's 4 Ultimicia forms. So... 8 or 12?

d20{fx}
08-24-2004, 02:33 AM
Actually, its 8 servants, 4 Ultimecia forms and Omega Weapon. So...
That makes 13 bosses

Jolts
08-24-2004, 06:40 AM
And if you count the weaker bosses that you can encounter in random battles...I don't know how much that would increas the total, but I know Oil Boyles are one of the said weak bosses that you can fight in Ultimecia's Castle.

870621345
08-24-2004, 06:55 PM
Actually, its 8 servants, 4 Ultimecia forms and Omega Weapon. So...
That makes 13 bosses

yes this is correct...now it's umm...what it is, oh wait, it's your turn!

Trumpet Thief
08-28-2004, 06:33 AM
chaos: Sorry d20 but you are just taking too long, so I will have to make another Triva question.

Rubedo: This will be very easy: Which GF do you draw from NORG?

Jolts
08-28-2004, 07:07 AM
Leviathan

Trumpet Thief
08-28-2004, 07:12 AM
chaos: Yes, you got the correct answer!

Rubedo: Nice job, you are awarded with 100 Rubey Points. Now, take your turn.

Jolts
08-28-2004, 07:20 AM
How much gil does Laguna start out with in the dreamworld?

kikimm
08-28-2004, 07:34 PM
5000? Don't remember if it was that, or 3000...but I'll stick with 5000.

:D

Jolts
08-29-2004, 12:02 AM
Nope, not 5,000.

Mo-Nercy
08-29-2004, 03:53 AM
I do believe it is 3000.

Jolts
08-29-2004, 11:45 AM
Yes, it's 3,000.

Mo-Nercy
08-29-2004, 01:21 PM
The king that lies within The Tomb of The Unknown King was leader of which ancient civilisation?

Jolts
08-29-2004, 01:26 PM
Uh...isn't that unknown? Well...if it is known, it's not known by me .

Mo-Nercy
08-29-2004, 01:44 PM
His name's unknown. Not where he ruled over. It was mentioned at some random point in the game.

Zante
08-30-2004, 05:29 PM
The only ancient civilization I can remember are the Centra.

Mo-Nercy
08-30-2004, 11:40 PM
Centra didn't have a king. As far as the story goes. I advise that you just start guessing random provincial areas until someone gets the name right.

Lord Xehanort
08-30-2004, 11:56 PM
Kounetsu: I don't remember them ever saying who he was or what he ruled.

Ansem: Nor do I... but I'll say he ruled over the country/continent that his tomb is on. (why would you take the dead out of their country?)

Mo-Nercy
08-31-2004, 11:58 AM
Eh. Close enough. Go Ansem. :D

Lord Xehanort
09-01-2004, 09:15 PM
Kounetsu: Dude... unfair.

Ansem: What is the code number of the sword in the Temple of the Unknown King?

Trumpet Thief
09-01-2004, 09:16 PM
chaos: Ansem, that is an unanswerable question for it changes every time.

Rubedo: But just in case, I'll answer #666 :D

Lord Xehanort
09-01-2004, 09:21 PM
Kounetsu: HA! Ansem sucks!

Ansem: Actually, it has an answer: RANDOM

Kounetsu: So, does Rubbers get a turn?

Ansem: Yes, go Rubbers.

Trumpet Thief
09-01-2004, 09:23 PM
chaos: Why thank you!

Rubedo: Rubbers? I like Rubey better...

Albedo: I seem to be more of a poet than a trivia man *laughs maniacally* Yet I am way better than those two buffoons.

Trowa:.... Why me?......

Which Gf teaches you the ability "Haggle"?

Lord Xehanort
09-01-2004, 09:41 PM
Ansem: Ohhhhhh........ now he has 4 personalities!

Kounetsu: I still have a score to settle with that Albedo... Oh! And the answer is Tonberry!

Q.) What is Tonberry's attack called?

Trumpet Thief
09-01-2004, 09:47 PM
chaos: Ummm... uhhh... DOINK?!

Albedo: *Laughs maniacally* Oh so you have a score to settle with me ol' Kounetsu?! Ahahahah!!!!

Rubedo: But, seriously, from what I remember, for I had played FFVIII a long time ago, is the answer Chef's Knife?

Lord Xehanort
09-01-2004, 10:02 PM
Kounetsu: WHY YOU COCKY LITTLE BASTARD! *lunges*

Ansem: *quickly takes over to avoid any bloodshed* Rubber's got it. Although I think 'doink' is better. LoL

Trumpet Thief
09-01-2004, 10:19 PM
Albedo: You should already know that you are a burden for poor Ansem. In fact, maybe you should your soul back down his body, or better yet, leave. Ansem would be way better off without you! *Laughs maniacally*

Rubedo: Albedo!!! Shut up!

chaos: Alright, I guess I'll take the turn...

Where are Malboros usually located?

Jolts
09-02-2004, 09:14 AM

Northern Esthar and Island Closest to Heaven.

Trumpet Thief

North Estar?

chaos: Yup, up until the Lunar Cry, Malboros are located in North Estar. But they are also located on the Island Closest to Hell.

Rubedo: Good guess though everyone, but GRL got it!

Albedo: *Laughs maniacally*

Trowa: *Sits and stares and sits and stares and...* *sigh* Take your turn and 50 Rubey Points...

Zante
09-02-2004, 07:23 PM
Which items can you find in the chocobo forests?

Halenite

Zante
09-04-2004, 05:39 PM
OK, go ahead.

Trumpet Thief
09-06-2004, 11:42 PM
chaos: Halenite is taking way too long, so Trowa will have to take the turn.

Trowa: Why me? Ah well...

What is the name of the GF that teaches you the ability "eat"?

Lord Xehanort
09-06-2004, 11:54 PM
Ansem: That question is impossible to answer. There is no ability called 'eat'. The ability called 'Devour' is taught by Eden, or any other GF who you teach the ability to... I just don't know the name of the item used to teach it.

Kounetsu: Well done, Ansem! You put that vegetable in his place!

Trumpet Thief
09-06-2004, 11:58 PM
Trowa: Stop calling me a fricken' vegetable! *Pilots his Gundam and attacks Kounetsu*

Albedo: *Laughs maniacally and lunges at Kounetsu*

chaos: Oh gosh, why do I even bother! Stop it you two!!!

Trowa: *realizes what he is doing* My apoligies *Bows polietely and walks off*

Albedo: *continues*

Trowa: Thank you for correcting me, here, take 200 Rubey Points :D

Rubedo: Now take your turn!

Lord Xehanort
09-07-2004, 12:23 AM
Kounetsu: *speaking while dodging* HA! Gotcha talkin', Trowa!

Ansem: *blocking and dodging* Albedo, this is getting ridiculous! If you keep attacking this way, I'm gonna let Kounetsu cut you where it won't grow back!

Kounetsu: *is faster than Ansem, so takes over the dodging*

Trumpet Thief
09-07-2004, 12:28 AM
chaos: Meh, I told these guys to listen, but would they, no... *Goes into a more devilish form. Angelic features dissapear from his body, as the color of his wings goes red, and a tint black* Enough!!!!!! *Blasts Albedo, knocking him out*

Rubedo: We'll be sure to contain him more...

Trowa: Yes you did get me into talking...

Rubedo: Alright, now take your turn...

chaos: *Goes back to normal*

Lord Xehanort
09-07-2004, 12:30 AM
Ansem: What item is used to teach a GF the Ability 'Abilityx4'?

Trumpet Thief
09-07-2004, 12:36 AM
Rubedo: Is the Rosetta Stone?

Trowa: *Apoligizes to Kounetsu*

Lord Xehanort
09-07-2004, 12:40 AM
Kounetsu: *accepts*

Ansem: That's it, Rubbers! *gives MB7 999,000 Ansemmy Points* *gives Rubedo 200.01 Ansemmy Points*

Trumpet Thief
09-07-2004, 12:52 AM
chaos: Thanks! Maybe I'll catch up to Materia Blade VII someday..

Rubedo: I'll give my turn to the next poster...

Lord Xehanort
09-07-2004, 09:13 PM
Ansem: Rubbers? You actually have 1200 Ansemmy Points.

Kounetsu: Let me guess: that fool Albedo is taking up place in your memory banks! *laughs hysterically*

Ansem: *taking over before Kounetsu and Albedo fight again* Which card can be made into the items used to teach a GF the Ability 'Card'?

Lord Xehanort
09-15-2004, 08:54 PM

Ansem: YAY! This thread gets to live a bit longer!

Kounetsu: *gives kikimm a Kounetsu Koin*

kikimm

Ansem: That question is impossible to answer. There is no ability called 'eat'. The ability called 'Devour' is taught by Eden, or any other GF who you teach the ability to... I just don't know the name of the item used to teach it.
Hungry Cookpot. You can get one by refining the Pupu Card (there are other ways, but this is the easiest).

Anyway, Quistis's "ultimate" weapon, Save The Queen, can be made from:
Malboro Tentacle x2
Sharp Spike x4
Energy Crystal x4

Trumpet Thief

Jolts
09-22-2004, 09:36 AM
The question was "what parts do you need to get the save the queen?," and I was the only one to give an answer that could be remotely correct (and I'm possitive that it is correct).

That being said, I'm going to ask a question, 'cause it's been about two days...

What's Julia's last name?

Mo-Nercy
09-22-2004, 01:48 PM
Her maiden name was Heartilly. If she changed her name when she married General Caraway, it would obviously be Caraway. The game doesn't tell us this in any direct way but she is usually called Julia Heartilly when her name does make the occasional appearance.

Now, there's no way that could be wrong. So I'll just keep this thing going:

When does Quistis give you the tutorial on Status-Atk Junctioning?

chocomog33
09-22-2004, 07:40 PM
during disc 2, when you discover that garden is ... mobile ... right around/during/before that?

Lord Xehanort
09-22-2004, 11:08 PM
Ansem: After you've become a SeeD, after the party, in the Training Center, in case you fight any T-Rexaurs.

Kounetsu: Ohhhh Quistis... *looking at a Quistis centerfold*

Ansem: How do you obtain Weapons Mon. Aug.?

Jolts
09-23-2004, 06:37 AM
That's the first one you collect, isn't it? I don't know...I never actually memorized that useless information, so I'll just guess...

By beating Elvoret in your SeeD exam at Dollet.

nik0tine
09-23-2004, 07:29 AM
Weapons monthly Aug. Is obtained in the very last Laguna flashback. It is the magazine that has many of the ultimate weapons in it, including the lion heart. (notice that Aug. Is the month of Squalls birthday, so it is fitting that his most powerful weapon is in that magazine)

P.S. Sorry for that useless little bit of information. Ive played this game to many times.

Mo-Nercy
09-23-2004, 03:27 PM
You're all getting confused between the magazines. For one, there are 7 magazines. March, April, May, June, July, August and 1st issues.

1st issue is the one that Laguna finds in Adel's 17 year-ago Esthar and it is the 1st issue that has the materials lists for four of the best weapons for four characters not August.

August is the one found in Trabia Garden if I'm not mistaken. You get it by going to the room with the two guys fixing the computer network and reading the diary, then following it's directions and walking south from the fountain statue until you see the magazine on the ground.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I've decided to jump the gun again and ask another question before confirmation. I am 99% that I'm right though (and if did hit that 1% of error, then the actual answer is that the magazine is in the Training Garden)

Question: Where can the Queen of Cards be found during Disc 4 when it's too late to do the side quest?

Laguna
09-23-2004, 04:23 PM
At the lunar base escape pod- its on the far points of one of the continents!

Jolts
09-23-2004, 11:10 PM
Both are correct, I think. After you find her at the escape pod, she'll join you aboard the Ragnarok.

...I think...

Mo-Nercy
09-24-2004, 12:31 PM
Laguna was right. Only the CC Group boards the Ragnarok on disc 4. The Card Queen (if you haven't done the side quest) will be at the southern tip of Esthar where the crash site of the escape pod is.

Take it away Laguna.

kikimm
10-01-2004, 12:51 AM

Very close...eh, what the heck, I'll give it to you. But it's more like::: level 60=6,000, level 70=7,000.

Take it away Mossy!

Mossy
10-10-2004, 06:57 PM

Ok, read this one carefully.

How many mobile gardens are ther in the story of FF8?

Lord Xehanort

Kounetsu: Trabia gets decimated before it takes to the skies.

Rinoa_Galatea

I think there're 3, but we only see 2 in action:
Trabia === This one's destroyed after the Missile Base thing XD jeez
Galbadia == This one's controled by Seifer after the Edea's control recovery
Balamb === This one's the one you're the 'Captain' jeez XD XD XD

Hmm, the question was:

How many costume changes does Squall go through during the course of the game?

So I dont think that Squalls child cloathing is counted.....or?

Mo-Nercy
10-29-2004, 03:15 PM
Assuming that his children's clothes don't count (because he technically doesn't change into them at any point of the game.)

Normal Squall costume.

SeeD Uniform.

Auronhart

Approximately 110,000 (Level 1)-1,100,000 (Level 100) (if you are looking for exact numbers, I don't think anyone could answer it without looking it up.) Might not be close enough though.

I'm assuming you are talking to me (even though I shouldn't but I looked up his health and it was about 111,000-1,160,000) so the level 1 110,000 guess was the closest. :)
Anyways, what limit break has the highest potential damage. (does not include limits that don't do any shown damage like the end)

Trumpet Thief
11-09-2004, 09:27 PM
chaos: Lionheart and Shockwave Pulsar are the highest damaging limit breaks if you have maxed stats, giving many slashes of 9,999 damage.

Rubedo: And if Faris' question is still up for grabs because of him, I'll say 150,00-1,400,000. :D

EDIT: And for next time, please don't look up the answer. That takes out all the meaning of trying to figure it out for yourself. Thanks!

Auronhart
11-09-2004, 09:31 PM
He passed over the question and then edited it out though. :(
Anyways, no renzokuken + lionhart (240,000 at most) or shockwave pulsar (99,999) are not the most powerful potentially.

Trumpet Thief
11-09-2004, 09:32 PM
chaos: Hmm, then perhaps Zell's limit breaks? If you do that fast enough, you can have an infinite amount of damage, all with 9,999 with maxed stats.

Faris
11-09-2004, 09:35 PM
