Hmmmmmm..... as much as I love ANYTHING with the word "Final Fantasy" tacked on to it, I think there's been other games that have been better this year. I do like this game, I like it a lot, but it's got some stiff competition.

I have to agree with DJzen on this. Although I am still playing it, it is a good game. Not the best I have seen this year though.

I agree with the above two posts. I liked that gaem a lot but there are others that were much better. I enjoyd Tactics advance a lot more.

Yeah I agree it could be close to the top spot but it probaly won't.

Just buy it used. That's what I did and I haven't regretted it.

Man have you ever played a real final fantasy? This seriously isnt a true ff. I admit it is kinda fun, but the story is terribly predictable and has no drama. It's an OK game, but by no means is game of the year material in my mind.

well, i highly agree that FFCC is the game of the year...for GameCube. Final Fantasy has come back to Nintendo to conquer the rest! as for GBA, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. anyone who doesn't think that FF is the best shouldn't really be here. this IS a Final Fantasy forum.

Yuffie, that's a ridiculous statement. Not everyone who likes FF thinks it's the best game series ever, and nobody who wants to post here needs to love every last game in the series.

Anyway, since 2004 is now over, I can safely say that much better games than FFCC have come out. It's a perfectly good game with plenty of merit, but it's just not a top contender at all. Fun, but not fun enough.

i have it and find it impossible to play because you have only one character at a time. i absolutely despise this part of the game!

To have more than one character out there at once, you need friends to play with you. For some reason Nintendo likes the idea of FORCING us to have multiple people to fully enjoy games. Look at Pokémon. You must have a friend (or another cartridge) to trade certain pokémon to get them to evolve or to get them at all. Its a cheap way for them to make everyone buy their game insted of sharing copies.

When Crono Cross came out I loved it, but I knew it wasn't game of the year. My favorite FF/Squaresoft game is FFT but my avatar is CC because I really like Grobyc and I don't want a FFT avatar.
