Just a quick question, when Sin/Jecht came to destroy Zanarkand and flung Tidus into Spira Rikku said that Zanarkand was destroyed 1,000 years ago. Is it a different Zanarkand or did Tidus get thrown into the future?

ekhmm:
Tidus' zanarkand is but a dream that the fayth had to give themselves hope, sins came and destroyed it so the fayth dreamed up a new one, sin wanted to see his son so he warped tidus into spira, ie tidus' zanarkand is a fake and when the fayth wake up at the end freeing the aeons(well in ten two the fayth start having nightmares about the weopon thingy so dark aeons appear) Tidus leaves with them as the real tidus died when sin version 1 destroyed zanakard, It is really that simple

So sence Tidus lived in Zanarkand his whole life then most of his life was a dream?

well there are two tidus', one that lived in true zanarkand and was killed by sin1, the other was the dream of the fayth and was sent to the world of spira, so was jecht but he found a rip in the fabric of time to get there so he knew a little about getting his son back

Tidus never really existed in the first place (at least the game doesn't confirm this, he may have, but that's just speculation). The Zanarkand that Tidus comes from is a dream of the fayth, but Tidus is a part of that dream. Tidus himself is also a dream of the fayth. Tidus has been alive for as long as the fayth have been dreaming him.

Jecht was a dream just like Tidus was, but he touched Sin, and that made him a part of the real world and thus he was transported there. Same with Tidus, he touched Sin (Jecht) and that made him real.

On seedranklou's post

but tidus isn't real, he should dissapear when the fayth wake up, but because in 10-2 the fayth start having nightmares thus summoning dark aeons he comes back but much diffrent

I say the title of this thread should have a (contains spoilers) put after it instead of everything having to be written in spoiler tags, just a thought

I know right. It's kind of funny though.

FFX-2 The fayth start summoning dark aeons because Shuyin takes them over, kind of like he takes over Nooj and Barali. Shuyin has been "alive" for over 1000 years, before the coming of Sin. He and Lenne were killed when he tried to use Vegnagun to save Lenne during the war between Bevelle and Zanarkand. But he remains an unsent, angry by what happened and still having ties to this world. Over time, his anger and rage consume him, enter the Crimson Squad, and it all starts from there. The fayth didn't make Shuyin. I doubt those fayth had around as long as Shuyin had.

OK, so since everyone in Zanarkand was a dream created by the fayth...then does that mean Auron and Braska are dreams??

No....Auron is from Spira, Jecht is also a dream of the fayth. Jecht touched Sin and became real. When Jecht becomes Sin, Auron rides Sin to the dream Zanarkand and watches over Tidus as he promised Jecht he would.

Thats it Unmarked spoilers:

Auron was killed by Yunalesca after his quest, then Jecht as Sin revived him, so Auron is the coolest Sinspawn ever

Auron was killed by Yunalesca but he was simply unsent. There are plenty of unsents in the world of Spira and Auron is no different. He didn't want to "die" and refused to let go. He wanted to stay alive, only so he could carry out the promise he had made to Jecht in regards to Tidus. I don't remember any part of the game saying Auron was revived, he just simply died and didn't go to the Farplane.
