A lot of people by lvl 50 have a static party and complain that there are few people. Whilst that is true, with the coming of European gamers, will this fade away? To an extent, yes, but will this just pile on to the over-populated 10-30's?

There might be less, but the point is that not all NAs are lvl 50s and you need ALOT of exp at that time, so party situations are more strict. European gamers might or might not help, alot will quit the game, alot will stay newbs and be low lvls, and it will be a while before EU gamers even become lvl 50...so it may or may not help.

just how long will lvs take to build on this game...i.e- a month after europe release could i realistically be lv 50 if i play it as religiously as other ff games? i,m assuming lv 99 is the max, how long will that take?

Lvl 75 is max, and no i dont think the person that plays it the first time through would be able to get to lvl 50, hell i am only lvl 51 trying to get better equips still and i had this game since the middle of December. Right now, its 10,000 exp til the next lvl, and with only MAX 300 exp(rare...mostly 250 most) gain on any monster, it will be a while. To give you an idea, a GOOD party that doesnt screw up and all, will usually be able to get 5-6000 exp per hour max. 6000 is really RARE, 4000-5000 exp is more like a flawless party(and it also depends on the configuration ands stuff, but keeping it simple). And i know that around lvl 60, its about 30,000 exp til the next lvl, that also include lvl limit break quests you have to do to advance, missions for rank, and the time you need to get armour and equips. Needless to say, if you want to go far, spend alot of time, and reap rewards, theres little here that gives instant gratification without work. And its uusally long term benefits here ^^;

But dont worry its not that bad..even if you did reach lvl 50 in a month that just means you skipped alot of content, and that will ruin some fun too. Just take your time and just have fun.

Depends on what you mean...complete all jobs to lvl 75?(prolly be years XD) Do all the missions?(story is missions), complete all quests? Dabble in every craft? Its up to you really....my reason for playing is story, friends, and AF armour.

I would say that making it to level 50 in a month is basicaly impossible. If you make it beyond very much and don't have a subjob you can expect not to get many PT invites. Additionally if you haven't done missions to increase your rank you will get even fewer invites. This makes leveling very difficult. Basically when you get to 18 you will start over with that job as your sub job and your new main job will be level 1.

Don't fret though... once you have a sub job you can solo much better and even PT at earlier levels. You will make it back to 18 in a very short amount of time. It took me about two weeks of playing, I kid you not, 15-20 hours to get to level 18 the first time. This included doing lots of quests and missions along the way as well as farming and crafting which is all necessary. To get to 18 the second time took merely days.

Again by the time you get to 30 you will most likely want to learn and advanced job and, you guessed it, go back down to level 1. But once again it is a very quick process leveling back up. If you've been keeping up with a craft you shouldn't have many problems in the way of money which so often is the biggest problem for people.

I've put in nearly 2 weeks of solid play time... not two weeks real time. The game counts hours and I'm saying I've played enough hours to equal 2 weeks and I've just now gotten to a point where I can get an advanced job.

As for completion of the game... heh... I suppose like was mentioned that you could master all jobs to level 75 but it goes deeper than that.

-Complete every quest (over 250 and probably more coming with CoP)
-Complete every mission (around 30 and they take a lot longer than quests)
-Get every job to 75
-Get full Artifact Armor for every job
-Completely master all crafts (Not sure what the max level is but I think something like 80ish and crafts level about as slowly as your characters... 8 guilds and lots of time and money)
-Completely max all maxable stats (i.e. Healing magic, Elemental magic, Sword skills, Archery skills, Evasion, Shield, Parrying.... I assure you the list is ridiculously long and I believe each of these go up to around 255)

Now anyone that hasn't played might not think this is so impossible but I assure you that the pace is not like other FFs. Leveling is very slow. You will get almost no money from fighting monsters. You have got to do quests and learn a craft if you want to have enough money to keep yourself up to date with spells and armors. This game is truly massive.

I will absolutely agree that to actually do everything in the game would likely take several years. Not just years of ocassional plaing but years of pretty intense playing.

As for EU players... I suppose it could be good and bad. Perhaps over camped places like Valkurm and Qufim will be hell and maybe it will be good. Perhaps this will force people to level in less highly camped areas and actually make them more useful. How often do you actually see someone in Tahrongi? A good alternative to Qufim Island is Batallia Downs but for some reason you never see PTs there nor can you find one. Perhaps EU players will help us deversify the places that we level and make the game more dynamic. I look forward to it.

I would say that making it to level 50 in a month is basicaly impossible.

Only if your not in a static party, I've leveled from 33 to 41 in roughly 21 hours (spread out over 3 days in about 7 hour sessions a day)

But if your not in a static party then ya it's impossible cause there's too many newbies and jerks out there who will stop your progress inbetween your not getting invites (unless your bard or white mage)
