How do you get rid of it? I'm fighting that sea monster near the oil factory.

It's in Junon. However, it's not an oil factory. The "blue balls" are bubbles and you get ride of them by casting magics on them... if I remember coorectly.

I belive the town is called Junon. The harbor...with the girl and her dolphin, when some sort of sea creature attacks. I guess it is a Mako factory.

Anyway, the sea monster casts a spell that creates a light blue sphere around a party member. That party member can no longer attack and looses health continuously. How do I get rid of that?

EDIT: Also, how much of the game have I completed by now? It's been almost 10 hours and Disk 1 is still far from over it seems.

I already answered how. Cast an attack magic on the bubble effected character.

You mean cast a spell on a party member? Can it be something like fire.

Yea that's rigth. And if I recall coorectly it won't hurt the party member, just remove the bubble.

I'd say that you're a bit less than halfway through disc 1. How far less depends on how much extra stuff you do, though.

if ur only at Junon then i'd say a LONG while left to actually FINISH the game, but to the end of the disk I have no idea

You still have awhile to the end of the disc.

I thought the bubbles were different targets than the characters? I think I targeted the character and got them blown to death instead of removing the bubble, and then on the third replay I found out it was a separate target. I could have been hallucinating though.
