i think it was originally done for the NES version.... there's not many PS1 guides anyway, seeing as how the games are just about the same. Save for a few config options.

Why?

Because I'm stuck in FF1 thats why.

I have the game called Final Fantasy Origins Which has FF1 and FF2 games in it. Is this the same game as the Snes?

There are a few minor tweaks, but your path through the game remains unchanged. Anything you're stuck on in the FFO version will be the same in the NES.

FF2 SNES = FF4
FF2 PSX = FF2

They are different games. However, FF1 PSX is exactly the same as FF1 NES and FF1 WSC, so the same guide applies to them all. Even the dungeons have all the same paths.

Or the FDS version! Or the FoMA version! Or the GBA version which is out in Japan now (although it's very different)!

You could always ask us if you're stuck. Many people do.

Forgot about those.... :D

too many FFs for me to keep up with in my collection. I currently have 3 versions of FF1: Origins, 2x NES(1 is just cartridge the other is unopened box with every still intact), and a Famicom (with everything still there. box, etc.) Though I have an original japanese famicom(and super famicom) version of each game from 1-7. Unfortunately I don't have the japanese systems themselves..... but I'm working on it.

First of all, what's your party, and what level are you at?

Second, what's your problem? Do you not know where to go, are you struggling to fight the monsters in the area, or is it something else?

We'll be happy to help.

I have a Red mage,Monk,White mage and a Black mage.

All of them are at level 6 at the moment.

Should I start a new game?

because I choose the wrong jobs I think.

if you're playing easy mode, just level everyone, you shouldn't have a problem. even in normal mode, you should be fine

The game is beatable with any party. Even 4 white mages. Heck, people have beat it with only a single character (killing the other three and never raising them).

However, your party is far from optimal and will be more difficult. If you want a party that will have an easier time, try:

fighter, fighter, red mage, red mage = my favorite, and powerful if expensive early on.

fighter, ???, white mage, black mage = A common choice, where ??? can be any class; often a black belt or a thief. I'd go with this for a first time player, as you have more variety of classes and it is a powerful party.

But definitely take at least 1 fighter, as later in the game they are the ultimate tanks. You can win without one, but it is harder to do so.

i use both fforigins.com and planetnintendo.com/ff1 , but seriously to say that origins is the definitive guide... is just wrong. plus, you're a traitor for not mentioning Unne's site :p
