At his castle. He got 6666 HP and I'm only at level 28 at the moment.

Hmm... whatever spell he casts, that is the spell that will damage him. So if he casts Lightning2, start casting Lightning, etc. If you're just getting beat, have Frog and Marle or Ayla and Frog, and use Slurp Kiss or Double Cure.

Yeah, but that only works after the Ocean Palace incident. >_>

Bring Lucca. Attack Magus if you want him to use another spell, and use a level 2 spell of that kind(if he uses a fire spell, use Fire2 etc.) and when he uses Shadow, do Delta Storm(Crono, Frog and Lucca). When he risks casting a spell, have the party use physical attacks.

I don't have this triple tech Delta Storm. I'm using Frog,Chrono and Marle I think.

Ummm....have marle be the designated curer. Lower the battle speed to give you more thinking time.

what level should one be at at this battle?

Level doesn't matter much, as long as you can survive dark matter. I always liked this battle, because of the sweet-ass backdrop. That is one cool circle he's got there.

This one isn't that hard. Whenever he uses a certain type of shield, use that type of magic. I think he drops his defense before he casts Dark Matter, so you should use Frog and Chrono to attack him then. I can't really remember fighting him, but just keep up your health and you should be fine.

Frog's Masamune lowers his Magic Defense so try to attack with Frog the most.

*ONLY* lvl 28?

Man, and to think I was lvl 40 or so at the time... but then again, I'm one of those RPG nuts who level like crazy. Like the time in FF1 where I fought Warmech for the first time at lvl 43...
