Toss the piece of paper in the trash, or leave it there?

I never noticed this before, but in the Returners' Hideout, if you examine the top edge of the table, there comes a dialogue box that says "someone left a piece of paper here". Do you "throw away the piece of paper" or "leave it there"? Does it matter?

Nah.... I've always noticed it, but whatever you choose to do with it, nothing happens, as far as I know. Maybe it had some significance in the Japanese version.. or not...... ahh, I don't remember.

I think if you leave it there, Bannon will go "HEY what is this!?" And Terra will laugh. Or maybe that's when you throw it away? I don't remember.

I've never examined it before in previous playthroughs, and Banon hasn't done anything... Maybe I have to examine and leave it for that to happen? I can't even remember what I did this playthrough now... oh well.

As far as i've been able to surmise this event has to impact on the game, although it would be reassuring to have a cracker verify this.
